- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

- I like the environment of our college. It's very peaceful and we can learn Many things.
Dislikes
- I don't dislike any thing but it's better to build a new hostel for girls.
Placement Experience:
There are many placements offered by our college every year. There will be internships also. There are many opportunities given to a student in our college. Highest package last year is 55lakhs per anum.

- Campus faculty and they very best in teaching
- Food in mess is also good and cantines are also very near to us there is reasonable prices.
- Sports and clubs are also improve the skills

- Distance is more from hostel to academic area
- Snakes are also there inside the campus and some times they came on road
- Climatic conditions winter is so cool and summer is too hot
Placement Experience:
From 7 semester they are eligible for campus placements and companies offered for collage are Tata ,Amazon, Flipkart, and so many 20+ companies are visitthe highest package in college is about 52 lakhs nearly 100 percent of placement is there

- The best about every college life is the Campus Environment, Club culture, sports activities
- Different fests like Tech fests , cultural fests, sports fest and the best of all : The Celebrity Night

- Somes the attitude of the professors gets to your nerves
- The student activity Centre(SAC) , responsible for providing an opportunity for co-curricular activities is not transparent and doesn't provide sufficient funds for the development of the students

Placement Experience:
The campus placement start from the begining of the fourth semester( 7th semester). Many top tier companier come for placement such as Sprinkler, Microsoft, UiPath, Oracle, Texas Instrument, Qualcomm, Accenture, TCS, Deloitte, Amazon, American Express, Visa, Natwest, BNY, Barclays, Wells Fargo, SAP Labs, etc and many more. The highest Package offered this year was 64 LPA. Profiles offered are mostly related to Software development(SDE role). From my branch(CSE) a minimum of 98 percent students get placed every year.

- The campus is very large and you can make your 4year memorable.

- The 85% attendance criteria provided by NIT Rourkela is very tough to follw
Placement Experience:
NIT Rourkela has good placement records with various companies coming for recruitment for various programs.According to the recent analysis 90%of the studeget placed in various companies and 10% of the students go for higher studies or research oriented works

- I like mostly the Opportunity that comes to us in campus And Also The Campus life.
- The faculty of this institute are very talented and Supportive.
- There is a 100 percent ragging free campus ..such supportive seniors are respectful.
Dislikes
- Hostel batroom and toilet should develop..and mess food is so off.

- The placement of CSE branch is quite impressive here.
- Campus is very beautiful and large enough.
- Infrastructure & course is good and need minor modifications

- Dispensary is far away so feel like booking online cab for it
- Sometimes books are not available in library which I need to pass my end semester
Placement Experience:
Typically students become from the 7th semester for placements in B.tech and 3rd semester in M.tech.
Companies visited and offers made:
NIT R attracts a wide range of companies for placements. Some of the well-known are:
Amazon, google Microsoft, Samsung R&D, Deloitte , Infosys, TCS etc
The total number of companies visited in 2022 was 325 and a total of 1300+ offers were made and 100 new recruiters.
The highest package was 48.48 LPA and the average package was 12 lpa for Btech students in the 2022 placements drive.
The percentage of students got placed in 2022 was more than 95% in various companies.
As of now, I'm just looking for a decent job at well-known tech organisations.

- It is a lush green campus. That too of 1200 acres.
- You have a lot of freedom. You can go out of the campus anytime before 11pm and the entry time is before 12pm.
- There are a lots of clubs. And maximum are very good
Dislikes
- Your absentees will be reflected in you scores. Professors will give you TA marks based on Your attendance.
Placement Experience:
The placements are impressive. You will get companies coming from the 3rd year onwards. In case and circuital branches, you will get confirmed placement. In 2021-22 the Cse branch had an average placement of 21 lakh which is impressive even among nits and iits.

- The placement stats are improving day by day.
- The start up culture is also on a rise as we have ftbi in our college.

- There is also theft of cycles in our college
Placement Experience:
Being in a good department, there are a lot of opportunities out there. If I get a placement that I desire and am placed in a facing company. If not I will pursue my MBA degree from any of the IIMs out there.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I got admission in the National Institute of technology rourkela which is in the district sundergarh in the state odisha and this campus is full of advancements and resources. Faculties are too good in there expertise.

- class room is well managed.. like there is cooler, digital boards etc..
- campus area : campus area is very good there is 3 restaurant and and some stalls.
- veg mess - a seperate mess for pure vegeterians.
Dislikes
- marking - teachers doesn't give good marks even good answer.
- attandance - 85% attandance is very disgusting.. i never heard 85% in another collage except nit rourkela,
- mess food - mess food is not good. no cleanliness in mess cooking side.
Placement Experience:
yes, very good placement. In 2023 the highest package of NIT ROURKELA was 83LPA. 83LPA was offered to a Computer Science and Engineering student. there are 100% placements in NIT ROURKELA. too many companies come here for recruitment.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
