Course Curriculum Overview
I choose computer sciences and engineering because this branch offers the highest placement rates and comparatively higher starting base salary. According to my knowledge there are about 160-170 student per batch who enroll in this course per year. There are about 30-40 faculty professors in our department. Most of the faculty memebers are quite good and helpful and give proper response to any queries of the students. THe course load is quite balanced and the it is not so difficult to passin the exams provided your knowledge is clear.
Internships Opportunities
The number of companies coming for internship during 5th semester isquite ample. Some of the companies that come for internship are: Microsoft( 1.5 Lakh per month), Oracle( 1 lakh per month), Barclays ( 1.25 lakh per month), Visa( 90k per month), NatWest( 50k per month), American Express( 50k per month), Wells Fargo( 90k per month), SAP Labs( 45k per month)
Placement Experience
The campus placement start from the begining of the fourth semester( 7th semester). Many top tier companier come for placement such as Sprinkler, Microsoft, UiPath, Oracle, Texas Instrument, Qualcomm, Accenture, TCS, Deloitte, Amazon, American Express, Visa, Natwest, BNY, Barclays, Wells Fargo, SAP Labs, etc and many more. The highest Package offered this year was 64 LPA. Profiles offered are mostly related to Software development(SDE role). From my branch(CSE) a minimum of 98 percent students get placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees per semester is approximately 96,000 per semester which considers all kinds of fees like library fee, SAC fee, hostel fee, course fee, electricity fee etc. For students with reservation the fees is even less. There are different companies that come during internship and placement such as Microsoft, Oracle, Texax Instruments, Natwest, American Express, Visa, BNY, Barclays, Qualcomm, Amazon, Samsung, Mathworks wtc and many more
Campus Life
Life in campuss is quite good and peacefull since there a re many trees in the campus. The library has ample number of books which are related to our course work. we has our techfest which is known as InnoVision during November and Vriddhi, our sports fest during October. We also has a cultural fest called Nitrutsav during February and Cossmo, our ethnic fest during January. There are many sports facilities inside our campuss like indoor badminton stadium, table tennis , swimming pool, basketball and volley ball. We also have two stadiums i.e DTS and STS for playing football and cricket.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are quite ok. The room size is average... not too big nor too small. It depends from hostel to hostel. Currently two new hostels are under construction. The food quality in each hostel also differs according to the caterer. Overall the mees food is okish. In our room we get a light bulb, a ceiling fan and a self. Thats it, nothing lavish since it is a government college.
Admission
The admission process was quite straitforward. We apply through JoSAA and based on our rank we are allocated our institute and department. After that we recieve a confirmation email and there there are instructions about the admission process, where to pay the admission fee etc. Since I was a student of general catagory I didnt avail any reservation benifits. As per my experience the admission process is completely transparent and proper so I dnt think we require any improvement in the admission process.
