- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

- I liked the campus infrastructure. The campus too spacious ,green
- Clubs are pretty active . Healthy competitions always go on between the clubs
- The college Allows nri students to study thru dasa admission process which brings about diversity in college
Dislikes
- The city Rourkela is pretty undeveloped. There are not much recreational sites in the city
- The hostel facilities are pretty bad . There is internet and rooms are smalll
- Due home state quota most of the students are from odisha itself and they form their own groups . We people from other states feel cornered for a bit
Placement Experience:
Form 6th semester , students stand for placements. We hear that the placements are pretty good. For internship students from second yr get good oppurtunities. Companies like google,coca cola,amazon come for placements.

- Campus life is good and you provided Night canteen and day canteen in every hostel of NIT Rourkela
- Well structured campus and department buildings of every branches
- Provided medical services inside campus and outside campus both.
Dislikes
- Campus is too big to explore, it's around 1200 acers.
- Mess food is very poor and unhygienic and quality is too low.
- Attendance is 85% and weather is too hot in summer.
Placement Experience:
The Placement is Good in NIT Rourkela, almost 90% student placed every year. from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements.
top Companies visits campus for Placement is Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Wiprp, Deloitte, etc.
In 2023 highest package is 83 lpa, and average package is around 20lpa
My plans after getting the degree is became a Good Stand up Comedian.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Because in national institute of technology Rourkela it has 100 Percentage of placement for computer science and engineering so it made to take this decision for come to here and faculty members are good

- Very big campus of 650 acres and full of greenery

- 85% strict attendance rule makes everyone lazy to attend the class
Placement Experience:
For students in 7th semester the placement opportunities are available. Companies like Amazon,Ericson, Reliance,etc. visit to provide placement. Highest package is 91 lpa as per 2023 and average package is 15 lpa. Approximately 90% of students get placed in different companies on campus. My plan is to get placed in a company providing good salary.

- I disliked the long journey to be travelled between my hostel and classes
- I disliked the high charges imposed for cycle repair.
- I disliked the tough correction done by teachers.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Mainly interest towards web development and coding and handling machines.Job recruitments are high for software field employees. Quality of education in NIT attracted me to take btech here .Teaching can be improved by putting skilled ones .

- The same old engineering curriculum which is followed
- The large campus of nit Rourkela we have cycle everywhere we want to go
- The eighty five percent attendance policy I hate the most

I chose computer science because of my own personal interest and since my college provides one of the best infrastructure in India that's why I chose the university Although the curriculum is same other engineering colleges of the country but still the faculties and facilities are good enough

- In our college all the members are friendly and help in all sectors.
- Placement process is better and give all the students to get placement in companies.

- The education system is old, it should improve to latest one.
- The notes which provided by professor should be improved and clear.
- In our college we have zero ragging policy but little ragging should be there for better attachments.
Course Curriculum Overview:
This college have 100% placement ratio. And the branch I choose that was the toppest branch in this college. CSE branch is all about technology and I love to have this branch. I am gamer and coder too, so I prefer to go with computer science branch. The college gives us many opportunities with technology. Our technology part is helping to take participate in worldwide
company. The branch I choose is best but the education system is not that latest. The exam is like our board exam and security is hard .

- I like the maintenance of this campus they maintain this very neatly
- The security here is very strict which is very safe for students
- The academics and faculty and placements everything regarding studies is good here

- As I'm from South I don't like the food provided in mess that much
- The attendance percentage required here is 75 percentage which is good for students but somewhat difficult to follow
- Some professors will correct exam papers so strictly
Placement Experience:
Campus placements of nit rourkela is very good almost everyone are getting placed with decent packages average package of nit rourkela is around 20 lakhs and highest package is also very good 4th year students are eligible to get campus placements

- We have to adjust for food actually it depends on the region you come from
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is good and it is improving day be day. Faculty teaches well and also recommends reference books to learn and explore more..they actually helps and support in every aspect. They also conduct class tests to boost our preparation and the level of mid and end exams are upto level..like student can write well if they have preparation somehow.

Placement Experience:
From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Amazon, Microsoft, Qualcomm etc. and many more companies offer a higher salary job. The highest package was 70 lacs last year. average is 10 lacs. Almost 70% student gets placed. My plan is to do higher studies after my graduation.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
