- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

Yes I choose this course because I want to learn this things and faculty of this college are so talented and all are good knowledged people and they are also very funny and in our college so many facilities for students and the people are of collage are so rich and there student are also talented in all field and they are very pretty

I've always wanted to be a part of a government college, just the sheer stories I've heard from my Dad's experiences at his government college only propelled my desire. I ended up choosing NIT Rourkela given its ranking among other colleges especially in the field of research and innovation, that mattered alot to me because its what I want to pursue in my career. Its best features include the curricular and extra curricular club culture, the scenic beauty, the opportunities for projects and internships. I opted for Computer Science as it was a budding interest of mine from the age of 14 and given the immense scope in nearly all walks of life in the future, it was a no brainer.

Placement Experience:
As i have told you that this college is thr top 2 NIT in india. The placement is very good. The data is as follows --
CS/IT - 100%
ME- 95%
EE - 98%
And the placement of the other branches is also above 80%.
Thus, the placement of the college is very good.

Remarks:
Ranked 16 for Engineering by NIRF.The average package is somewhere around 6-7 LPA. Coming to the campus life, the campus life is very good in NIT ROURKELA. The campus is very big with lots of trees, canteens, sorts complexes, badminton, tennis, basketball courts.

There are many factors that made me choose this place.friendly environment, quality education, good placement and plus a beautiful environment where I never feel outcasted.These are the things that made me choose this place and I have never regretted choosing this place till now

Remarks:
Reputation, the college is owned by the government of India because of which the fees is very less compared to private institution and even if is reputed as a good college in India. Also the college placement is really good.

Remarks:
Dasa admissions were based on a preference order, mostly cause of the huge green campus and while I was joining my institute was ranked 2nd in all Nits and top 20 overall in India. Also the college had a very high placement percentage for my branch atleast. Plus my admission was based on Sat scores so the top colleges get filled first if scores clash they select it based on age

Top university of india, better nirf ranking, quality education, good infrastructure and placement opportunities, students can engage in their area of interest along with studies as there are many registered and active clubs which regularly performs events engaging the students in their field of interest.

There are various company visited for example in it sector companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google etc and in core sector companies like Tata,jsw,jsl, Vedanta etc comes and takes on an average package of 7 LPA and takes around 10 students on an average.

Remarks:
College is great, the infrastructure provided but i strongly feel something has to be done for the mess. If we were allowed to choose our mess the food would have been better. Also the teachers need to be evaluated again. Most of the teachers fail to teach.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
