Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

The candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate percentage of marks or 6.32 CGPA in Class 10 Board Examination
The candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate percentage of marks in +2 Science
- Aggregate percentage of marks = (marks secured ÷ total marks appeared) × 100
The candidate must secure at least 45% or more in each of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry

5% relaxation in marks would be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

The eligibility criteria for OTA category students shall be as per the guidelines of JoSAA .

Entrance Exam:

Admission is done through JEE-Mains

Reservation:

50% of the seats are reserved for Odisha State Students. Reservation rules meant for SC/ST and other categories are applicable to this category.

College is very concerned about its classes and courses which is very good thing , one will get experience of more work load

Fees and Financial Aid:

averagely tuition fees is 90,000 which hardly increase to 95,000 by the end of your graduation overall including hostel accomodation and other fees it cost around 1.25L per semester i.e 2.5L per year (excluding mess charges) . for student falling under general category and abovel BPL there has no schoalrship scene and student below BPL have scholarship that also which has state quota No such scene of campus employment which include stipends , students are included as placement coordinator and other post which help them in experience set improving their CV

Curriculum - It's just very hectic. Although it follows the basic curriculum like all other universities the schedules are very hectic for the students.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tuition fees are quite a large sum at around 8 lakhs. Other fees add up to around 975000 lakhs. There's no tuition fee increase as of now and it is Stated that they would inform prior to any changes, however it would really be resented at it is already so high. With all the tuition fees and compulsory charges the total fees would be just less than 13 lakhs including the mess fees. I know it's quite huge and you would never be able to justify where this fees actually goes. There are scholarships and tuition fees waivers offered to the needy students and a good amount of scholarship for the toppers every year is also given.

There will no increase in our fee over the course and I think it's fine with modern standards. But scholarship is only to top 2 of class and same state people which makes it a bit odd for us who do not belong to the same state. My total fee is 10lakh , 2.5 lakh per year and 18000 per year for the hostel accommodation. I haven't undertaken any campus employment as I am just starting as a student

Yeah that the main points as affordability . As this college fee is 1lac and 20 thousand . But the major part is this college doesn't feel like expensive. This college behaves like a normal govt. Colleges and it doesn't have serious requirements for children

Well there hasn't been much of a hike in fee, and has been the same for some years. There are many scholarships like Reliance foundation and many more. Coming to the structure for fees, an approx of 10 lakhs will be needed for 4 years, which includes the hostel and tuition fees not the mess fees you will have to pay that separately.

Studying here will cost you nearly 12 lakhs . There are several opportunities of scholarship such as TFW scheme by odisha government . There is no fee hike at present as it is a government college. THe college also provides you the flexibility in fees paying. you can esily get a job here if you work hard and the stipend will be around 80000 to 90000

As a student of UIET CSE, I will share some merits and demerits of the same with you-

Merits-

If you are a good coder, UIET offers decent placement opportunities in the CSE branch.
There is a 24*7 library facility.
You’ll get the ‘Panjab University’ tag.
It is located in Chandigarh which is a serene, beautiful, and well-planned city.
Your personality and leadership qualities will improve.

Demerits-

The teaching environment isn’t good. You’ll have to learn by yourself, regardless of branch.
The tag of ‘IITs’ or ‘NITs’ holds much more significance.
You might not get the desired placement. In that case, you’ll be sitting for some competitive exam. For a placement in 4.5-5 LPA slab, you’ll have to work hard.

NIT Patna IT is a good option because it offers good placements and an NIT tag. As far as IIIT Bhubaneswar CSE is concerned, you can check all the information related to it and compare it with the other two.

Being a government institute, any degree pursued at IIIT Bhubaneshwar holds a lot of value in everybody’s eyes. As it is an old institute as well, the faculty is quite educated and experienced in its way of teaching and delivery methods. Their methods are well-tested and very effective for their students.

The institute believes a lot in practical approach and this is the reason why labs and other rooms are very well-maintained as well as up to date for its students. The entire campus is also Wi-Fi-enabled which makes it easier for students to study online. Though to take admission in the IT branch of IIIT Bhubaneshwar, one might need to reconsider his/her financial position as pursuing at IIIT Bhubaneshwar is quite expensive.

Being in a city that is also a hub of big company’s headquarters like Tata, IIIT Bhubaneshwar also ends up providing a lot of job as well as internship opportunities to its students, especially of the IT branch. The placement rate offered by the institute to its students is also fairly good and satisfying.

The coding environment provided by the institute is also very satisfying. Seniors at the institute add a lot to the coding club of the institute as well as to the open sources.
