Collage Review of IIIT

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Campus placements will be given to the 7,8 th semester students. Companies are tech Mahindra, Infosys, dell, tiger technologies and some other.. Highest package was given by oracle which was 39 lakh pac per annum Average package will be 8-9 lakh per annum On an average 80-85% will get campus placements. You will find guys having deep knowledge in coding.Here coding culture is one of the best.But for ETC and EEE you will not find such good opportunities.

Since I chose this college for EEE branch coz I want to do both electrical & electronics .But our college is quite unknown in core sector.
Placement for core branches is not good.Only 4-5 core companies visit here.

Here placements are good for coding and data analytics domain.You can expect decent PKG ranging from 10-16 lpa.If you have good skills the you can go all upto 44lpa.For core electrical energy examplr ,tejas networks and a few companies visit.

It offers good infrastructural facilities to students. The whole campus is wifi enabled. The coding culture is pretty active on campus. The institute organizes a tech-cult fest called Advaita.

While IIIT Guwahati is an institute of National Importance, IIIT Bhubaneswar is not.
IIIT Guwahati usually also has the provision of industry support from various major companies because of the status of national importance it has. It also comes under MHRD, GOI directly. IIIT Bhubaneswar doesn’t enjoy the same privilege.
IIIT Guwahati receives funds and support directly from the central government, unlike IIIT Bhubaneswar.
IIIT Guwahati was first established by MHRD and was among the few newer IIITs to have their permanent campus quite early.
The peer group at IIIT Guwahati is better due to the higher cut-off as compared to IIIT Bhubaneswar.
