My rank was about 63000 in jee mains and i think with my rank this was the best option. My results werent as good as i was expecting but i scouted out this college already ,I went through Josaa and CSAB to get the admission for odisha students i think there is special gateway too. The cutoffs are increasing everi year as the demand exceeds shows the development of the college and more people are coming from far away states each year in cluding kerala , tamilnadu, punjab, Madhya Pradesh. I got admission in BITS, IIST but i chose this college for better value for money and better placement purposes.

Here there is a lot of reservation 50% seats are reserved for the local students and then the remaing will also have the reservation for girls , ST

Admission:

This was the best collage that I was getting based on my JEE rank . I was also getting lower NITs like NIT shrinage , goa etc . But my father denied and he thought that a better branch will give a better palacement at the end of the 4 years .I also got into BITs pilani Electrical Engineering , but I have to put down that idea because of the high fee at the BITs . so this was the last option . I was also getting Geoscience at IITKGP.

Admission:

i applied only in the josaa councelling, unlike others who apply to many other private colleges. this was the institute i was alloted through the councelling. government college was on my preference then private ones, mostly due to fee structure and students. there is no interview taken while admission. 50% of seats are reserved for odisha students and other 50% is open to all. cutoff for open category is higher, then state category and other categories like female/sc-st, etc. cutoff order for branches are cse>it>ce>etc>eee

I've applied for only IIIT bbsr and didn't participated in any other counselling process.Due to lack of guidance I didn't know about OUTR and VSSUT although IIIT is far better than these but for core dept. these colleges would be a better option.If you are aiming for VLSI the conside IIIT bbsr rather than OUTR and VSSUT.

The application process of CCMT after qualifying GATE is given below:

The CCMT Process is completely online
First, you register yourself on the official website of CCMT. Also pay the registration fee.
Then, you need to fill in the application form. There, you can choose your preferred course.
Based on the choices and merit of yours, the seat will be allocated and the result would be available online.
Then you need to pay 30 thousand for seat acceptance.
After acceptance, you can take print out of allotment letter.

There are 50% seats are reserved for Odisha candidates. Reservation means for SC/ ST and other categories candidates are applicable to this category. The basis of selection is JEE Mains CRL rank. IIIT Bhubaneshwar conducts its own counselling round for admission to Odisha candidates.
