Course Curriculum Overview
The course here is well structured, and relevant to industry standards. As this is a Government IIIT, placements are preety good. A good amount of professors are always ready to help all students, may it be academics or any other industry related activities. Internship opportunities from companies like Hp,Dell, and Oracle also come here.
Internships Opportunities
There are many small and mid startups which give internship opportunities to the students. Once you are in second year you can apply for internship in companies like Oracle. Many of the roles are for SDEs and dev roles. Being an IIIT this is more like getting opportunity in the IT sector.
Placement Experience
Our placements record are pretty good. Companies like HP, Dell, Oracle, Infosys, Deloitte come to our campus for placement drive. Overall with a placement rate of 84%, our campus provides better on campus placement rate. Computer engineering and Information Technology branches bag most of the placements here with 92% and 90% placement rate respectively.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well there hasn't been much of a hike in fee, and has been the same for some years. There are many scholarships like Reliance foundation and many more. Coming to the structure for fees, an approx of 10 lakhs will be needed for 4 years, which includes the hostel and tuition fees not the mess fees you will have to pay that separately.
Campus Life
Considering the social impact of the college, we have a vibrant community of people and good socio culture. There are around 8 well functioning club in which students can take part in. Almost all the events conducted here is run by students. Our annual fest Advaita is one of the best cultural fest in our state. From pronites to events and stars like Armaan Malik, Gajendra Verma have performed in our college in our fest
Hostel Facilities
Well, the hostels are affordable and quite good. You might face difficulty because there aren't any air conditioning in the room but the rooms are well built. Hostel fees range upto 9000 per semester. You will alloted rooms according to a lottery system. As for the food served here. I would rate it decent, three times meals are being served here all for 120 rupees per day. You can have the token if you want or opt to eat from many of the cloud kitchen in our college. Food would be of no issue as you will find many affordable places to eat.
Admission
You need to get the cutoff marks in JEE Main. It's around 98 percentile for getting a branch in CSE or IT. While there is counselling done for this college through JoSaa, people from the state of odisha can apply through the state quota. This college comprises of 50% state quota student maintaining a better environment and exposure. Fees for this college is approximately 10 lakh for a 4 year course.
