Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is preplanned and based on national guidelines. The faculty at each department is one of the best in their respective fields in the country. Many of them have authored and edited reputed medical books. Like every other college, there are some faculties that are revered for their excellent teaching style while others can be considered average. Exams are held regularly throughout the course in the form of formative assessments, internals, ward leaving, et cetera. Send-ups and university examinations are held at the end of each academic year and are not easy to pass. While pass percentages are quite high, one must prepare properly to pass the exams. Classroom teaching is accompanied by laboratory experiments, practical classes, clinical teaching and patient interaction.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum consists of 19 subjects divided over 4.5 years. Often what happens for clinical subjects is we have super specialty faculties take classes for us. For example, neurosurgery classes are taken by a neurosurgeon instead of a general surgery faculty. Apart from that, many famous medical authors like Dr. Apurb Sastry and Dr. G K Pal are in our faculties. Our faculties have been sent as directors on deputation to other peripheral AIIMS as well. The facilities we get at JIPMER are hard to find anywhere else. University and Sendup exams are held at the end of the year with internals, formative assessments and ward leavings held regularly. Exams are quite difficult actually but the quality of training is sufficient for students to be able to pass them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because of my interest and will to study medicine. The faculty-student ratio in each department varies from 1:15 to 1:20 and the faculty are highly qualified with basic degrees being MBBS, MD/MS, further many of them have obtained their fellowships from England and USA. Each semester has 1-2 internal assessments and the year culminates with one mock exam and one final exam. The exams are made to test our understanding as well as prepared us so that an average student can easily pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like this course so I decided to join it. There are a lot of people in JIPMER. Faculty here are very student friendly, ready to solve doubts. There's a JIPMER student association too. And exams will be strict and scared matter. Correct will be done seriously. It's important that you maintain dignity and persevere here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course leads to something very fruitful, i.e becoming a doctor which in itself defines the honor and dignity of the course. Being a doctor is such a beautiful process leading to such a great results. The average faculty: student ratio every year is 1:15. To add to that there are JRs and SRs who help you always. The faculties of JIPMER are extremely well qualified and they screen their faculties to the level of teaching in an Institute of National Importance. The review teaching method is quite prominent here and they take feedback from the classes often for the students' benefit. Term exams were timely despite the tough COVID situation that we went through. Passing exams at this level is of course going to be difficult but it's not impossible and certainly doable for every student in the institution if they study regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To be honest, I chose MBBS to fulfill my dream of being a CTVS surgeon. I had a family history of relatives dying of cardiovascular diseases and I wanted to prove myself to be useful to the society and nation. The faculty's student ratio depends upon the departments. But what is commendable is the rapport and easy approach of faculties by the students. When I joined the course as an MBBS student, I was assigned a Mentor who has been guiding me throughout my life in this college. I could flourish and grow to my fullest under his guidance. The Faculties are extremely highly qualified and they are one among the priceless list of professors in the country. JIPMER professors are Authors and Editors of renowned medical books. JIPMER keeps repeated assessments to check student growth in a subject through FAs, IAs, Sendups, and University Exams and if one has followed the class and has studied, passing and even scoring distinctions is a cakewalk.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The choice of MBBS here can be made due to the excellent patient footfall and the esteemed faculty available here who are ever so ready to teach. The faculty-student ratio depends upon the year, of course, the student is in and on average is 1 per 10 students. Faculty members are eminent doctors known throughout India. Many of the faculty members have authored books which are used as Holy Grail for said subject throughout India. JIPMER is known to be strict with academics. A proper schedule of mid-semester and end-semester exams is followed. Difficulty of passing varied with each exam.

Student Snaps:

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course out of interest and passion for Biology, especially in medicine. Medicine is also regarded as a special course in today's society, and is somewhat a matter of pride. Faculty: Student ratio - roughly 10 professors + 20 residents for a batch strength of 187 students [approx 1:20 for professors and 1:10 for resident doctors] The term exams are standardized and scheduled well in advance, making them on time, and giving students adequate time to prepare for the same. Exam difficulty - internal assessments are set at a somewhat higher level to ensure better reading of the students, but most students who put in a genuine effort will pass and do well in exams. Finals papers are set to a moderate difficulty and the departments will try to pass students who show that they have studied and attended classes regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty-student ratio depends on the department but is appropriate for the medical curriculum. Professors and Senior residents take most of the theory and clinical classes. All the faculties are well qualified. In my experience, I have never come across a faculty with any question that they couldn't answer my doubts. The exams are very timely and the curriculum is extremely rigorous. One has to be very well disciplined regarding academics.

Mbbs is one of the most sought-after courses in India, and it is the only way to become a doctor in our country. Faculty: student ratio is quite good, every branch and super speciality branch has multiple faculties. Each branch has ranged from 6 to 20 faculties. Highly qualified faculties and one of the best mbbs teaching curricula in India is in Jipmer. Time to time reviews and modifications also take place in this field. Like any other institution, JIPMER will offer you some of the best and worst days of your life.

Academically, I gained exposure to a vast variety of cases. This has worked to enhance my confidence as a medical professional.

In the Pediatrics ward, you may visit the neonatal ICU, and see how sick newborns are taken care of. You may attempt resuscitation on a baby. You may conduct deliveries in the Labour room, and perform minor sutures. You may interact with cancer patients, and others suffering from life threatening illnesses. You may work in the surgical emergency department. You’ll witness many births and deaths.

JIPMER lets you explore your field of interest. Whichever department you are interested in, you can volunteer for the same. You can volunteer in every department if you like, no one will stop you.

Apart from academics, this college will help shape your personality. You’ll face hardships and stressful situations, but they’ll make you a stronger person. You’ll find some of the best classmates and faculty, and make unforgettable me

All the three insitiutes are popular and good for pursuing B.Sc Nursing program. But considering the factors such as infrastructure, faculty, exposure, internships, placements, etc. JIPMER stands on top of the other two colleges. And JIPMER being the closest institute, it would be the best option for you. You can also check the ratings of this college from JIPMER Reviews.
