Campus Life
- Lancaster University in Bailrigg is located just south of Lancaster city centre, which houses the majority of teaching facilities, student accommodation, colleges, sports centres, and administrative offices.
- The university has developed two more sites: the Health Innovation Campus, situated adjacent to Bailrigg, which focuses on advancing healthcare, medicine, and innovation through partnerships with businesses and providers; and Forrest Hills, a nearby venue set in natural surroundings that is used for conferences, leadership programmes, and outdoor events.
- The university has an award-winning library and world-class sports facilities, and the University has a health centre on campus, which is a part of the NHS.
Fees
- For international students, 32,760 pounds, but there are a lot of scholarships in place that which university automatically applies based on the student's application and profile.
- My tuition fees are 29760 for the entire course. I can pay in 2 or more installments, I can pay term-wise or all at once, it's up to the student.
- My accommodation fees are 194 pounds per week, and it's a 40-week contract.
- My monthly expense is - 100 pounds
- I travel only on Sunday as it costs less

Likes
- Action learning based course and college. The faculty gives practical knowledge and real-life training sessions, consulting projects and presentations. There is "zero" bookish approach towards teaching.
- The faculty members are very passionate. My coordinator Pete Cornwall was amazing and ensured a smooth onboarding, along with Gillian Parry. Andrew Bagshaw was an amazing mentor and was always there to help students. Dr. Robyn Remke is the director of MBA, needs no introduction, she genuinely wants you to succeed. I think Lancaster has one of the best faculties across UK colleges for MBA.
- The culture of the university is great, they hold a lot of events including international trips, alumni events, networking events and many more to keep the students engaged.
Dislikes
- The cost of the MBA is too high with respect to it's course period. Its a one-year intensive course and the workload is way too high.
- The college is located in a very small town near Manchester, called Lancaster, so it is a country side with absolutely minimal facilities. This impacted my overall experience.
- The college had negligible diversity and there was also bias with respect to local job market and opportunities. So as an Indian, I faced that bias, which I felt is one of the most negative parts of being in this university.
Campus Life
- There is only one campus of Lancaster University in Bailrigg, Lancashire, England.
- All the facilities are available on the campus, as below:
- Library
- Gym
- Swimming pool
- 2 grocery stores - central and spar
- Restaurant's
- Fast food joints
- Social hubs
- Bars
- Sports arena
- Porters
- NHS - medical facilities and many more!
- The most famous one is Lancaster Fireworks.
- There are tonnes of extracurricular activities depending on the interest of the student:
- Sports – football, basketball, badminton, and many more.
- Student organisations/hubs
- Networking events/cultural events – like flash mobs, potlucks and so on.
Fees
- Total tuition fees - 32500 pounds
- Scholarship - 8500 pounds
- Net tuition fees - 24000 pounds
- Hostel fees (only accommodation) - 12000 pounds
- (They gave all the above options. I chose to pay upfront right after admission. So I paid a total of 24000+12000 pounds before joining upfront.
- Rent - mentioned above (I lived in the campus hostel, which was 12000 pounds for 12 months, so 1000 pounds monthly.)
- Transportation - Used buses to transport in and around the city. 3.5 pounds for 1 round trip. Roughly 90 pounds a month.
- Food/Grocery - We had shared kitchens, hence shared groceries. So less than 100 pounds a month.

- The community is very good while you stay in college its one of the best
Dislikes
- Less practical the expected
- No field trips for my course so less connections
- Small city so only less students and less connections and no options
Campus Life
- Two campuses: one is on campus and one is like 15 mins away n foot.
- Everything is available: restaurants, computer labs, library, gym with all sport options, barbecue areas
- Every other event is celebrated in university according to different regions and people, , people can organise there own as well , freshers week is very famous
- There are a lot of societies, and you get taster sessions for the same so you get to know more about it. It's very fun and every other interest and sport is available on campus starting from.
- Harry potter to motorsports and dance like salsa bachata
Fees
- My fees were 31500 pounds for tuition. I got a scholarship of 5000 pounds, so fees were 26500 after that. Accommodation was 10000 pounds (approx. 8500-10000 depedns on the type of accommodation and whether it was on campus or off campus.
- Yearly, Apart from rent as it goes in quarters my expenses were around 250-300 it can go as low as 150 or as high as you want depending on the students; into alike there are more expenses because you are setting a room so blanket pillows wardrobe stuff a kot of things are supposed to be taken care off

- The university campus is huge and the most beautiful campus I have ever seen. If a student decides to enroll to Lancaster University, they should definitely arrange their stay inside the campus for the best experience.
- The faculty is top class and the MBA director (Robyn Remke) is an amazing leader. Her lectures shouldn't be missed. She is the most amazing guide, coach, and mentor you can ever speak with. She has an open door policy, you can reach out to her at any point. Apart from that, even the faculty is amazing. The leaders help you with your professional resumes and help you with any information you require to apply for a job. Lancaster University is known for their faculty. They even arranged meet ups with potential employers.
- To teach us 2 courses from ground up (Operations and international business), the university took us to 2 international trips in the Europe (Prague and Germany) and this has been the most enriching and wonderful experience a student can get in the UK. This was by far the best experience.
Dislikes
- The course is packed in one year, so the curriculum seems rushed. There are very strict deadlines and the first half of the course might seem unsettling and out of place. Sometimes there is no gap between 2 courses, while you have just submitted your paper, you might have to rush to another one quickly. This didn't give us time to absorb one course properly.
- The ethnicities ratio could have been way better. Our class was filled with Indians and very few other people from other countries. This could be off-putting for a lot of people. This could definitely impact one's experience in the university. MBA batches especially were impacted by this.
- While our course did have networking events, the campus was never too engaging. There could have been more campus specific events so that folks from different courses, years, undergrads, grads could meet up and network on their own.
Campus Life
-
They have 1 campus and different accommodations.
- Pendel (UG)
- Lonsdale (UG)
- Grizedale (UG)
- Flyde (UG)
- Furness (UG)
- Graduate campus (PG)—Ensuite bedroom, bedroom with shared bathroom, studios, and Family accommodations.
- All of the above are on the Lancaster University campus.
- All facilities like - Library, sports hub, swimming pools, restaurants, gyms, Medical hub, grocery stores, and porters, are all available inside the campus.
- Lancaster Arts, football clubs are very famous inside the campus. Also, the most famous one is the firecracker festival.
- The campus allows all kinds of sports; they have a gym, swimming pool, football ground, table tennis, pool, etc. They also have common spaces for socialising like Grizedale hub, flyde hub, social hub. They allow food, pool, board games, and drinks there, and they also host matches there. Lancaster university also has a student organization that helps new admissions with any challenges.
Fees
- Tuition fees—26000 pounds.
- (Total = 34500 pounds
- Scholarship = 8500 pounds
- Net = 26000 pounds)
- Hostel fees - 600 pounds per month. (5400 pounds for 9 months - Oct to June)
- No other fees; everything else was included.
- You can choose any option. I took an early option and paid the whole amount up front, but on request, semester-wise fees are also acceptable.
- Rent is basically hostel fees: 600 pounds per month.
- Transportation = This is cheap, as you can use the bus for basic transportation, as this is a small town. Around 70-80 pounds (Totally subjective).
- Food/grocery - Min 100 - 120 pounds per month.

Likes
- Campus life, like its all one campus the buildings aren't spread out in the city like some other universities I know
- Good teaching and admin staff
- Diverse cohort in most programs
Dislikes
- High tuition fee for international students
- No Better guidance on job front
- On campus living is expensive compared to off campus
Campus Life
- There is only one Campus at Lancaster, which is good as all the buildings are together, which gives you a good campus feel. All major facilities are available on campus, like the library, gym, emergency hospital, labs and playgrounds. The gym is one of the best in the city and has various levels of memberships.
- I recommend taking a full-year membership as soon as your program starts to make the best use of it. Every year, a sporting event called the Roses happens between Yorkshire University and Lancaster University, which is very famous. There are a lot of clubs, so there's something for everyone. I was a part of Lancaster Nightline and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Fees
- My tuition cost around 26,500 GBP before the scholarship; that said, the costs have now been increased. I was given a 3-term option to pay it. Housing cost (inclusive of all bills) around 500 pounds per month. I used a private agency to secure my place. Other expenses like food travel and miscellaneous costs were about 300-400 per month. I did take a travel pass for buses and trains, which was very helpful.

Likes
- Quality of education offered at the university is quite high. Professors with distinguished careers teach her and makes for a nice environment.
- Campus is extremely nice. Spacious, green and airy during the summers. All important places are quite easily accessible and has plenty of nook and corners with their own charm.
- Accommodation is expensive but worth it. The overall management is quite good and the turnaround time for any complaint is extremely quick.
Dislikes
- The town is quaint. There not much to do in Lancaster. Its big enough to spend a year but beyond that it is quite a dull town.
- There's everything you need on campus from accommodation to general groceries but it is on the expensive side.
- The term is planned in a way where it has ebbs and flows. Some weeks are extremely heavy and some weeks are dull, its never in a balance.
Campus Life
- College has only one campus.
- All facilities that are needed are present, including a fully functioning gym and library.
- Roses is an inter-university competition between Lancaster and the University of York and has a deep history and legacy.
- Extracurriculars are dependent on the individual but there are all the options one can imagine on campus. There are a lot of sports clubs that students sign up to and the list of clubs easily stands over 50.
Fees
-

- Tuition is £36,000 for the whole year.

- All fees are charges per-term. There are 3 terms in total, so expect the total to be served 1/3 portions in all terms.

Likes
- Course offered by the university
- Affordable hostel accommodation
- Very scenic and beautiful campus
Dislikes
- The inability of the university to handle disciplinary issues without bias
