Remarks

All good. Though the syllabus is quite old just like the IITs other things are very good. If you secure a good rank in WBJEE you should get admission here. Everything you'll get here is irreplaceable.

Course Curriculum Overview

4 years course with 2 semesters in each year. 6+4 papers in each semester. 6 theory and 4 sessional papers are part of each semester's exams. If failed, one is allowed to seat for supple exams until he/she passes.

Course Fees: INR 39000 per year

Placement Experience

Yes, they do. With a sufficient skillset, it is common that one can earn 1-2lakh during their 2months of the internship. One can expect to have an average of 15 LPA packages if they're from a coding background.

College Events

Fest where we bring famous artists from all over the country. Fresher's where we welcome the junior batches. And farewell where we bid adieu to our beloved seniors. We do have annual sports events and other cultural events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very much feasible. It is one of the lowest in the country. Due to the active union, it has been possible. We have too less than 10 thousand rupees for our entire 4years of a bachelor's degree. Can't get more feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. They provide scholarships to bright students coming from underprivileged backgrounds. If you're from economically not so sorted there is always a chance of getting scholarships. Bright minds are always supported.

Campus Life

They're excellent. Labs are fully equipped. You can't have this good lab facility even in the most of IITs. Sports facilities are also very good. Our CAB cricket ground is of international level and you may find Kolkata Knight Riders and Indian cricket team along with other countries practicing in our ground.

Hostel Facilities

I don't have a hostel. I stay in my flat which is nearby. Our hostel facility is also very good. The library is one of the few common facilities one would love to opt for because it is simply great.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The bond we share with them is no less than a family. The seniors are excellent. Without their help, it'd be tough to pass semester exams.

Admission

Through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. It is an exam conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Board. You have to secure among the top 1000 seats to get into my college. The cutoff is also very high.

Faculty

The faculty is more than incredible. So proud of them. We have our faculties all over the globe sitting in top positions. Teachers are very much learning about the topics they're teaching and helping us.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
