Remarks

If you want to live and study in Kolkata then you can opt for this. In private college, this college ranks under 10 in Kolkata in terms of CS and IT. But i will suggest that if you can go out then do go as there in no campus area, no meeting different types of peoples, as its mainly specific to Kolkata

Course Curriculum Overview

I have completed my Btech in Computer science from here. Its a study of 4 years where in first year they focus on all type of engineering , one can switch to other branch after first year, rest of 3 years are dedicated to CS. We had 2 semester in a year so totaling it to 8 exams. each semester used to have 2 unit tests. So total 16 tests and 8 semester.

Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement in CS/IT is very good, maximum of people are hired by TCS. other companies were mindtree, zycus johnsom, etc. so overall around 80% of eligible student were placed in our time. College do provide the opportunity for internship in 3rd year but its very limited.

College Events

Tech feast was organized on yearly basis by college event group called 'Phoenix'. It was a good event and was organized at state level. Competition of coding ,robotics and many more. Apart from this in my 4 years i witnessed cultural event for once.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If you consider the fee structure of engineering in West Bengal for any private college, its same. so i assume its feasible. It costed around 40000 per semester. So you Btech would cost around 3.5 lacs around in total.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed it and has no idea about it. I didn't even got to hear from any one. so i assume there was no such facility at my time. One can go and try for same. But banks provide loan easily as my friends had opted for the same

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities were very limited. There were no such event mainly organized at college level for sports and all. coding competition was held once or twice a year. Labs were there and it were in good condition too

Hostel Facilities

College doesn't have its own hostel. There are near by paying guest which are pocket friendly , I have never stayed as i am localite to this but got to know from my friends. However food is very average in these PGs.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very weak here. Its been 3 years of being alumni and was only once contacted by college only. I am in touch with my batch mates of my town. College do not have such portal facility.

Admission

I got admission through State entrance exam called WBJEE. Once you clear this , depending upon ranking you will get the colleges of West Bengal through admission process of WBJEE. One can get in CS/IT branch if you score around 10000 rank.

Faculty

I wont say that 100% of faculty here are good but if you consider , it was overall above average types. Few faculty like our CS HOD , java teacher , microprocessor, automata. These subjects had very good faculty but on the other side , other subject faculty were average

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

from 6th semester the student become eligible for campus placement.Companies like google ,microsoft , apple etc visit the campus.the highest package offered around would be 50 lakhs and lowest would be 5 lakh.around 70 percent of the student get placed.i want to get placed and do the job then slowly i want to start my editing agency.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

NSEC: Where learning meets oppurtunity

i applied to colleges like techno main saltlake, heritage, meghnad saha institute , STCET. But I preffered this college as the fees is less compared to others. Also the college is nearer to my home, which would reduce the travel time. I could'nt make to college like Jadavpur University due to low rank. For admission WBJEE rank is required with 10+2 qualification. Students need to register through wbjee counselling, fill their preferences and then colleges are alloted according to their rank. College that I got accidentally now like It so much

I choose this college because this college is in top 5 private colleges in west bengal,the admission process is like that we have to come to the college with some of our documents like 10th,12th results and wbjee result and upgradation form if we had tried to upgrade in 1st round of counseling . I had applied for heritage,techno mains salt lake,iem, netaji subhash Engineering College,narula institute of technology and many more. . Yeah I got rejected from heritage, techno mains salt lake because of my wbjee rank actually I want computer science engineering in these colleges but I didn't get it because of my rank but if I had applied for ece or any other branch definitely I will get that. .The admission process is that we have to come to the college and have to bring some documents like 10 th ,12th board results and wbjee results and upgradation form I had applied for upgradation and my adhar card pan card,the eligibility for cse is kind of like 12000 rank of wbjee and I got IT which is around 21000 in round 2 and in mop up it will be like 27000 something, I got it in 18000 rank...Read More

I applied for some college in Noida like GL Bajaj and I was getting admission there but because of the distance from my state that is Jharkhand I preferred this college. Also I applied in colleges like Heritage Institute of technology and Techno Main Salt Lake and I was rejected because my wbjee rank was not enough to qualify .
