Likes

The overall experience in college has been wonderful . The engagement with peers, college infrastructure and everything is wonderful.
The boys and girls ratio is decent with a near 1:1 ratio and enough opportunities for girls present in college.

Dislikes

The only thing I disliked is space. The campus could have been a little big.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is diverse and very practical. The introduction of various subjects in the NEP have imbibed practical knowledge and learning. We have frequent lab periods wherein we work on excel and other softwares giving us practical knowledge of every concept we study.

Internships Opportunities

There are big firms coming every year in college for Internships. We have an Internship Fair organised every year that allows all the students to apply for internships and sit for interviews in top firms offering commendable stipends, going as high as 50,000.

Placement Experience

The placements, as mentioned before, are amazing. We have Alumini from various big firms including BCG, Bain & Company, McKinsey, DE Shaw etc. Companies like these, recruit the students from our campus and offer good packages, with average package being above 6,00,000 and going as high as 21,00,000 with good roles offering high ROI.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee stature of the college is genuinely genuinely amazing. I have seen my friends paying 3LPA as annual fees in private colleges with no values and I paying only not even one lakh for three years of my graduation with stellar placements.

Campus Life

The college has over 90 clubs and committees, ranging from cultural committees to academic committees to research committtees to entrepreneurship committees creating real time impact. The college is well involved in extra-curriculars and is amazing when it comes to having the best fest, Nexus, organised in University of Delhi.

Admission

Sri Venkateswara College is ranked among the top in the whole Delhi University. This was my primary reason to choose this college over others for my course. The infamous Alumini base and the stellar placement records are the other reasons for me to apply here.

Faculty

The faculty members of the college are amazing. They possess the knowledge of the most basic to the most complicated theories and concepts of the world. The knowledge they transfer and the way they teach has truly shaped us and helped us groom ourselves.

Night Life

The nightlife is safe and happening. Right outside the college, we have Satya Niketan, which is very famous for its cafés and party culture. The area is very safe, even for girls and offers unlimited options to have fun around.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

An Unfiltered View of SRCC

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRCC is very amazing, and way beyond the placements of DU colleges. A lot of big big names in Finance, and consulting domain, recruit from campus including McKinsey & Co., Bain & Company, Kearney, Big 4s and all. Highest package is 35+ LPA and Average Package is 10 LPA. I HAVE PLANNED TO complete my ACCA along with a little work experience.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
