Course Curriculum Overview

4

Economics is one such course which I feel complements every other discipline and since it talks about human behaviour, so it also teaches us a lot about the real world. The timing of exams can be changed by delaying exams by some time so that we get enough time for preparation. Also, the vacations are very less due to which people from far away cannot go to their homes.

Fees and Financial Aid

31,250(1st Year) 29000(2nd year) No any other fees charged till now except for the exam fees/per semester of amount in and around 1000. Although I don't know the exact amount, but the fees are quite low for reserved categories like EWS. There is an annual Vice Chancellor Scholarship for those with family income below 4 lakh. Although I am not aware about the exact amount

Campus Life

5

The campus life is very happening with DRC's annual fest Manjari held around April/May . One can get access to many Informative Books in our Library. There is no Wifi facility for the entire college, which creates some issues. But the classrooms are spacious with smart boards in some. It is active in extra curricular sports and the societies in the college give one a lot of exposure, experiences, memories and for me worth remembering is the North East Cell of Daulat Ram College.

Admission

I applied to all other colleges of Delhi University and the DRC got me a confirmed admission only since we get admitted only into one college under CUET UG. Yes, I couldn't make into other colleges because their cut offs were higher. The admission process went online swiftly and students can be admitted into my college only through CUET UG Entrance Examination .

Faculty

3

The faculty was reliable and approachy in the 1st year but in the 2nd year, they were not that cooperative at times although they were also pretty focused towards making us flourish. The exam pattern under NEP is not that good since there is more pressure on the students for rigorous continuous and internal assessments.

Night Life

5

The North Campus,DU has a lot of food spots, libraries, etc. One can go to Sudama ki Chai, enjoy Bistro Fries and chill with friends in Faculty of Arts. The hostel in time is 7 p.m. but I don't live in the Hostel. The locality is safe as long as you roam around in groups.

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

See in my course, students are not that much focused on placement! They are more focused on things like upsc, govt jobs, academics, professors, further MBA! So I do not know about the placement culture! But for someone who wants placement in GIS field there is a placement cell for geography department as well!

Placement Experience:

If seen, students become eligible for placement sitting in the third year but there are many types of internships in the post second year which you can do. The college has its own placement cell, you can join it and from there you can stay connected with the placements. There are many companies which visit the college. Job fairs are also organised in the college. Many companies, international and national, visit. Along with this, education fairs are also organised inside the college campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement is decent, not extraordinary. The average package is around 4.5-5 LPA, and the highest is around 21LPA. Students become eligible during their final year. The companies that have visited are EY, Wipro, DE Shaw & Co., Deloitte, etc. Decent number of students don't sit for placements or choose higher studies instead. As for me, I plan to do an MBA after graduation.
