- The professors and mentors are friendly creating a supportive and learning environment in the campus.
- The society culture is very well developed, giving different opportunities to enhance your skills giving ample of platform to work on skill building.

Course Curriculum Overview
Economics is a diverse field and the curriculum exposes us to many of them. The heavy use of statistics and maths along with their real world applications is what makes economics more complete and interesting. It is challenging at the same time but with correct guidance it very much aligns with my future goals.
Internships Opportunities
There are different companies giving out internships for different roles whether it be marketing, finance , social media etc. with a varying stipend of 2000 per month to 10000 per month. I'm also looking for a good intership at the end of my first year to get some corporate experience and see experience real life work.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for campus placement at the end of either 3rd year or 4th year of the course. The placement process is long and big enough to land a good no. of students to jobs. Multinational companies like Bain and Co., McKenzie, EY and others come for placement. Also other than placement students opt for further studies in master's or PHD.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise program fee for arts program is INR 32000 for an Indian student, which sums to around 96,000 for the 3 year course fee. The component fee is as 180 for tution fee, 5 for admission fee and other campus and student development and maintainance fee. The fees is varied across all the streams from starting at 27000 to 34000. There are few scholarships that college provides based on the students financial condition and academic performance in the college.
Campus Life
As it's my first year in college, i have less idea of the annual fests but what i have witnessed so far starting from August is the diwali and navratri celebration in the college. Other than that there are different competitions and events conducted by different societies such as the National Incubation Summit by the Entrepreneurial Cell of Hansraj College etc. There is a two story library with wide variety of books and easy access to students to take most benefits from it.
Admission
As the Delhi University admission is concerned, we had to give out our preference list to the university and were given the college in accordance to our CUET score. B.A. (Hons.) Economics in Hansraj College was my 7th choice in the preference list and I'm grateful that I got admitted here. I did not get the first few preferences due to limited no. of seats in those colleges but I feel at the end I landed to Hansraj and it is great. The overall admission process in general was a lot tiring and time taking.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quite high. Though, the faculty is very approachable and there is a healthy relationship between the students and the professors. I really like their guidance and way of explaining the concepts. I like the complete faculty I have interacted with so far but mentioning few names I would start with Ms. Madhavi Moni ma'am, she has been my mentor and stats teacher from sem 1 and is continuing in sem 2. Others can be stated by Ms. Hema kapur ma'am, Dr. Ashima ma'am. There runs a continuous flow of internal assessment throughout the semester which are informed to is prior to commitment, other than that the external exam the " endsems" take place once every semester. The exams are easy to pass if you pay attention to class and work on the concepts.
Night Life
There is a gym, a college cafeteria and a cafe operated by the social entrepreneurship society "Mitti cafe" with the Nescafe and Amul stall in the college. There is ample of public area for students to spend there time in learning and having meaningful discussion in the college and enjoy the campus life. Though it is not considered that safe at night specially for girls. The college is situated in one of the most porsh areas of Delhi , at the Malka Ganj Chowk, North Campus, Kamla Nagar, Delhi.
