Likes
- I liked the campus of college it is not too big but it is asthetic and gives vibes of an college. Every block is neat and clean. the overall camous is quite pretty that i liked too much at the first day of my college.
- The second thing i liked in this college is faculty members. Our busines laws teacher in first semester was very good in teaching and also in personal concern. Our MPA tut teacher also guides us in academics as well as non acdmeics things.
- The last thing i liked is societies of this college, it has more than 40+ societies related to every domain like dance, professionalism, singing, and many more. I am in a consulting society and it is giving me many insights for the corporate working
Dislikes
- I disliked the construction work which is taking too much time. One of the gate is closed which is under construction and this gate is used very frequently by many students.
- I disliked some teachers like our Financial management teacher who does not no how to teach and we just thought how she become a teaher. So it was a very bad experience of teaching methods of teachers.
- The last thing is mismanagement of college. On my sem exam day the mgt of collection of bags was very bad as many students got late just beacuse of it
Course Curriculum Overview
As much as i know the course curriculm it was more placemement oriented. The study material is also quite comprehensible and understandable. My aspect for choosing this course is backup, i want to engage in a proefessional course and wanna do Bcom H in background. The areas for improvement - they can work on teaching Practical subject in effiecent manner so that it will helps us in real world corporate. The frequency of exam and timing of exams is mangeable.The diffculty level is moderate on my perspective as i have given my first semester exam.
Placement Experience
Students wil brcome eiligible for interships from first year or after seocnd semester. The placaments is nice and the averge package is around 600000. And last year two students got internships from de shaw and accenture for 90000 and 60000. So the internships is good. The highest package is 36 lakh from hansraj. I dont know about the percenateg of students getting placements. My plans after getting placements is nothing because currently i m doing CA which is sufficient for me for my placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees is inrceasing year by year for whole programme. I dont know about other courses but my Bcom H fees increased from previous year and this year the the fees is around 30000 per annum. THIS 30000RS have to paid in all three years. Cllege provide scholarship, recenlty college had conducted an interview for merit cum need basis scholarship.
Campus Life
The overall experice of campus is good. It gives college life everyone loves it. It is not too big but yeah the campus is beautiful. Recently the fest was held for the freshers everyone there was enjoyed, yeah there were some issues regarding music but it was good. Comparing to other collegs the budget of hansraj college for annual events was small. The library have latest books as per the latest sylabbus of each course with respect to their semester
Admission
The admission into the hansraj college was done through CUET exam. In this exam the anyone can get into the DU after crackign this exam. The collegs of delhi university alloted to each student who have passed the critera and scored sufficient marks. It is done through a preference sheet in which every student are supposed to make an preference list according to their prefernce and the hasnraj college was my third preference. First prefernce was Shree ram and the second one is HIndu but as per the marks i got Hansraj. After getting into the college Their will be physical verification of documents and nothing happened wrong durng the admission procedure.
Faculty
Most of the faculty members is good like our business laws sir , Mr bharat bhushan Sir, he is a very good teacher and our MPA teacher is also good Mrs Ritika Maam she understands the students, how they are feeling after coming in a new city for studies and in many cases. And our FA teacher Dr shallu saini is very bad at teaching. About the marking system, DU has a very linient marking system as our first semester exam has been held which was pretty easy the exam system for us is very good overall.
Night Life
College haas GYM , Yoga room and four cafetarias including the college canteen (AAHAR KENDRIYA) . It has a wonderful library which is filled with different books relaed commerce, philosophy, economics and all other sections. The college also has a LP area some called it as learner point and others called it as lover point it is the public area where students can sit and just rest there during free lectures or recess. The starting time of college is 8:00 AM and the clsoing time of the college is 8:00 PM. The girsl hostel of college is running but the boys hostel is under construciton. The nightlife of the college is good. Famous hangout places inside the college is LP area and the porch area front of NESCAFE. Outside college, there is Kamla market where students went for hangouts or eating or shopping. The locality is very safe even in midnight.
