Course Curriculum Overview

5

My course offers very vast subject which are very comprehensive and adaptable in this coming world. Since i have Economics honours as my course which involves real life world problems and practical applications related to market and economy which helps us grasp the problems and situations of the every day world. My core subjects very widely covers all the important concepts and aspects.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship opportunities provided by the college are very good and a good stipend ranging from 5000 to 15000 depending on the role and company. If the student has skill set they can easily crack the internship and earn good experience as well as money.

Placement Experience

5

Our college provides very good placements opportunities and the average package is 9 lakh per annum. Vey renowned companies such as Deloitte, EY, PWC, Bain and company etc. The placement opportunities are very vast if one is dedicated and consistent towards thier goals and have required skill set they can surle crack the opportunity provided by the college and can make full worth of thier potential.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course amounted for around 31000 per year but the tuition fee is considerably very low but on the other hand the other miscellaneous charge is such as accommodation fee lab fees etc. Our college also provide various scholarship such as hansraj fees concetion, national scholarship portal, dell espire scholarship etc. Which helps students to reduce their financial burden and pursue their goals without any hinderance. Overall hansraj college under delhi university being a government college the fees is very minimal and affordable their is a yearly incriment in fees but that too not very much.

Campus Life

5

The infrastructure of our college is very good. Every room is properly air conditioned which is a boon for summers. Also the college has various seminar halls, computer labs, chemistry labs, stationary shop as well as with affordable price and good food quality canteen. Hansraj has variuos active societies such as Placement Cell, Oorja, Kalakriti, Neev etc. It has societies in almost every field whether it be academics or Co-curricular.

Admission

I chose this college because of the reputation it has in the Delhi University campus. Hansraj has been accredited with NIRF ranking 3 in college category. Hansraj also provides the appropriate environment for academics as well as placements and internships. Hansraj accepts CUET exam which are based on the subjects based in higher secondady education. As Hansraj being a very renowned college the cutoff for the college is extremely high and difficult to crack. But once you are in the college and campus environment the hard work is worth investing one's time.

Faculty

5

The course structure is very comprehensive and detailed which make us understand the course and subject well. The faculty is well qualified and is very supporting and motivating. We also have skill enhancement subjects, ability enhancement and also value enhancement subjects which help in holistic development of structures. The exams are also well managable if one studies appropriately.

Night Life

5

The nightlife is quite calm in notth campus area, there are famous markets such as kamla nagar whether students generally roam with friends. There are also famous food spots which are eye catching and an attraction in students. Though the college close around evening hours but the campus is lively in late hours as well.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
