UPES has best sports access!

Our CSE chapters are equivalent to those of IITs. Thus that makes the students of UPSS as competent as anyone. Our syllabus has chapters designed by IBM so one can imagine the kind of industrial demand that we have to study in our curriculum. I don't think we have any negotiations in our studies as they are tough and severe both.

The placement rate of UPES School of Engineering is 80%. Now this is bigger than most as it is impossible to have that placements percentage with a batch of 1000 or more. The average placements are also between 7-9 LPA and highest so far has been of 42 LPA. Top names in the industry like Microsoft, Adobe and Amazon are some of our biggest recruiters.

Fees may be called abysmal by many as it's 5 lakhs a year and then since I am not from Dehradun, I have also taken hostels of the university and that cost me 1.75 lakhs another. So, fees add upto 6.75 lakhs. And it has increased a bit since I have joined but still I feel it's a little heavy and therefore not many can afford it as well.

We have a film fest too and that is called Chalchitra and then events like IGNITE which is a bumper tech fest and then our annual fest URJAA. We have some small more events and festivals celebrations keep on happening all year round. Our infrastructure is best in class as we have unlimited resources of knowledge at library and we also have an incubation centre at our university.

For girls hostel the only issue is in enforcement timings as they are 7.30 pm. Rooms are triple and double sharing rooms with non and attached washrooms. I have opted for double AC rooms, with attached washrooms. More than basic furniture is there in our rooms.

Admission are through an entrance for engineering which is called UPESAT. The best thing is the paper can be given anytime as it's online and if students want they can directly come to the university and then give that exam. So, it's a good thing that we are doing a proper assessment before getting in here.

Our faculties are industrial experts as our syllabus is also industrial backed. They always give their inputs and also take suggestions from their past colleagues and therefore they make us not to stay distant from the peripherals of latest technology. So faculties are helping us in and out for getting evolved.

Fun N Food Kingdom is our weekend getaway. Prem Nagar has many more such places as Maggie Point, Suicide Point, Rooftop Bar named Tipsy Alley, and The Hidden Gem Restaurant. Also hidden gem waterfalls and Shikhar Water falls are close to our campus.
