- The exposure that I get from Hansraj College is exceeding my expectations. The placements from Hansraj College are very decent.
Dislikes
- The one thing I disliked about the college is that the campus size of Hansraj College is a bit small compared to other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
The one thing I like about the course is that it is a very professional course. It deals with real life general every day financial and general problems. Any profession later in life that I would like to pursue, the basics of all the things come from my course. In general the readings are from very affluent places and authors that are like Harvard and Berkeley.
Internships Opportunities
The internship cell of Hansraj College is one of the most active societies of the college. The cell provides a lot of oppurtinities to students with a great stipend and work experience. Companies like Namo India, Bain come in for on campus internship opportunities and take not the most academically inclined students but students with the most creative minds.
Placement Experience
The placements in the college are one of the bests in the Univeristy of Delhi. My course is a very professional course and I am eligible for placements in the college. We get many internships in the college and all of these attract the best of the bests in the finance and banking and other sectors like Consultancy like the Big Four for example.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid about 28000 in the first year (Economics) and there was about a 10 percent increment in the second year. There is a registered scholarship amount for people who apply for that categories but there is scholarship otherwise I'm not quite aware of scholarships. The fee is justified because the infrastructure and facilities are very good.
Campus Life
The general notion about the North Campus colleges is that the campus life is beautiful. And it is the right case in case of Hansraj College. The campus life is very vibrant and good and there are various meeting points in the college where you can meet your peers. The infrastructure of the college is amazing and one of the bests in the whole of the University. Every classroom is attached with latest technology and most importantly air conditioners.
Admission
Hansraj College in general is a very prestigious college in the University of Delhi. The alumni from Hansraj College are world renowned. The placements are compared to none other than a couple. The faculty is the best. The infrastructure is the best. The exposure that Hansraj gives is second to none. The college itself is a brand. The admission process is simple. You are allotted through the CSAS system and you pay the fee and receive your acknowledgement after document verification.
Faculty
The faculty members at our college are amazing. There are many great professors and all of them are very well educated and equipped. I am pursuing a 3 year Bachelor Course with an option for a fourth year. We have the DU exam system with semester end exams at the end of each semester. We have two semesters every year. For my course and all the Arts course, the core subjects and GE/DSE have a total number of 160 marks with 70 being internals and 90 being the end semester exams.
Night Life
I used to live previously around the campus but due to health reasons I'm forced to live away with my local guardians who reside in Delhi. Earlier the night life or more so the evening life was beautiful. All students would come out in Kamla Nagar or Vijay Nagar and everyone would just hangout for tea or coffee or some light snacks. One if the most famous place in the University Campus is the Sudama tea stall or Tom Uncle Maggi Point. The Campus connected with the scenic Kamla Nehru Ridge is one of the most beautiful and incredibly safe areas in Delhi.
