UPES Dehradun is scenic!

CSE with VLSI gives a lot more opportunity as my area of interest is designing and with CSE I don't only learn that but AI and use of it and also coding too. So, I get to learn it all and that's not all I also get the access to the best tools and labs as we have that at UPES University. Our course is definitely one for the ages.

Campus placements begin as early as 3rd year end. Because in the 5th semester our training and all starts. Also, students with intenrships certificates get a better chance and first chance too. Roles and all depends on skills but whoever gets placements get in between 5-10 lakhs. Some brilliant students though have got placements worth 30-40 lakhs too but only a few.

UPEas school of Computer Engineering under which CSE program is run is the one that we are enrolled at UPES. It's the most expensive engineering here as the fees is 5 lakhs per year. It has stayed stagnant since 2024 but when i joined in 2022, it was 3.8 lakhs. The hostel fees has also increased from 1.4 lakhs a year in 2022 to 1.8 lakhs in 2026.

UPES hosts a music fest called Virasat and then our annual fest Urja is a concert. Also, many sports students in our university and for them to excel university hosts, an annual sports day named Spandan. Campus has various sports facilities and we have many labs and top classrooms which are tech enabled too.

I have opted for the most expensive room of the hostel where it's a double sharing spacious room with attached washroom. Room category are many and as per the budget student can choose the one they want. Curfew time of the hostel is 9 pm for boys and 8 pm for girls.

Admission in Engineering is through UPESAT and likewise all course have their own entrance apart from normal graduation science, arts, and commerce courses. I didn't get any rejection as UPES was the only university I tried for and luckily I got admission. I did had some backup plans though but I got here and so my plan A clicked.

Faculties of UPES are certainly some form of God and Goddess and are very instructive people as they give the instructions and detailing of each time and again. MR Ram Agarwal is our favourite professor as rest all are young and less experienced but he holds a teaching experience of more than 2 decades.

Gucchapani Robbers Cave for trekking is the best hangout places according to me near UPES. We also have a Hidden Paradise which is again a trekking spot. For food Anna Cafe and Maggie Point are two affordable places.
