Likes

The campus life is very lively, including the events, societies, clubs, people.

Dislikes

The senior faculty has a lot of knowledge but however, they sometimes may feel intimidating.
The admin office experience, however thats bad at every college and institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course as geography honours includes the digital aspects, theory aspects, as well as interdisciplinary aspect, thus i feel like my course is very much comprehensive, the difficulty is moderate only in practical subjects other than that the theory subjects are very much interesting

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 18580 per year

Internships Opportunities

Worked under DUbuddy (currentlyn working too) With 3k monthly stipend as Subject Matter Expert for Geography. Other than this, the college, especially the societies keep providing various paid and unpaid internship opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 18580 for 6 months, thats all, i have received a private scholarship (KP Singh Scholarship), however the college also provides scholarships to students in need with a certain household income criteria

Campus Life

There are annual MUN (samanajasya), diwali fests (onella) and the annual fest (tempest) held in feb Library is super accesible i am mostly there half the time, there are a lot many books to choose from, the events are always taking place be in extracurricular, sports or academic conferences.

Admission

Miranda House has been NIRF 1 for 7 consecutive years, the only other option would have been Hindu, but thats co ed and i personally preferred girls colleges. I got admission through CUET, and my course's general cutoff was 889

Faculty

The faculty is very much approachable, they're very approachable and i like most of them. The faculties are very helpful. All the students do good enough in exams since they provide options to choose and answer from. The course curriculum as well is very adaptive.

Night Life

Our college has four canteens and each one of them has amazing food, however the campus and college close at around 7pm along with the library. Other than inside, even outside college we have amazing foos spots and various other hangout places,

Course Curriculum Overview:

• The structure of the course was from basic to advanced. The structure made sure that all the basics are cleared specially for those who did not have psychology as a subject in class 12. • The course is well-tuned with the practical aspects that makes us better equipped for tackling real world problems. • Inclusion of field trips every semester should be implemented for better insight about the materials in the course. • Midterms are held in between our semester that is of moderate level that consists of 1 or 2 units, usually for 30 marks. The end semester exams are held at the end of the semester for around 90 marks which has higher level of difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was choosing this course in preference list I found it interesting to study the society, it's main aspect and concepts included in it . I read about Marx , max etc and found some interest in it . The curriculum does tell concept relevant information society but I feel like there is a lot of need to research in Indian societal concept and their work and interaction. Teaching method can be interesting, interactive rather than being boring concept reading in class

Placement Experience:

I feel every student needs to work hard on themselves first and equip themselves with skills which could land them a good placement. There are companies which are partnering with the college and admit interns and applicants by the end of the year. I personally have not applied for the internships or the placements but I intend to in the future.

Covering all the aspects to know of the college

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell and provide a very good rate of placement for the courses like b.com ,bsc and some for the courses such as geography. Placements take place in the 5th sem if you are doing three year degree or in the 7th sem if you are doing four year degree. The number of companies visited were about 80 to 90 the names of the recruiters is as Google, Accenture, Amazon, Talent Serve, Deloitte. The highest package was of 24 lpa and the median salary is 5 lpa the lowest package was of 2 lpa . 60 % of students are placed in placement. My plans after getting the degree is will prefer higher education

Honestly, I got Lady Shree Ram college at first with an English hons degree in hand. But I had Miranda listed 5 times in top 10 colleges I wanted to go to. So, I guess I got what I wanted. But, my dream college was Srcc with an economics degree. I am currently pursuing economics as a minor subject for now though. I believe that Miranda is a great college but it can never offer me what Srcc could. The admission process of my college is through the entrance exam called CUET. You have to get alteast above 720 from 800 if you want Miranda. Top courses require the least score of 760 in second cut off. It ois quite competitive....Read More
