Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum includes study of histories of various parts of the world, giving a comprehensive world view. But it scarcely provides real world applicability. Research, content writing & articulation could be developed through the curriculum & should be the main focus of the course.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 14615 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee varies over the years annually, it increases from 12,000 - 16,000. The examination fee also varies according to your selected courses but it's below 1,500. The fees for other categories is lower than the general, for instance for SC / ST being 200-300 rupees lower than the general, for PWD category ?120 & ?2000-3000 for Staff. The college do provide some fee concession & external scholarship like BYPL for Sashakta scholarship for EWS students.

Campus Life

The campus life is very vibrant as well socially enriching for the students, interacting with experts from their fields, learning through working with their peers & faculty. The college has a lot of college societies that align with such diverse set of students interests.

Admission

I applied for BHU, Jamia milia Islamia College & BR ambedkar college but I always wanted to be in DU. I got accepted to Kirori Mal College through CUET exam, i scored around 675 out of 800 in the exam.

Faculty

The faculties are approachable & like some of my history department faculty because of the level of their experience & their teaching methods which makes the subject very fascinating & insightful. There are 3 Discipline specific course in the 1st & 2nd year including a General elective course, skill enhancement course, Value Added course & language / Environmental studies course (as per semester & course). A total of 7 courses of which 5 have compulsory examination. Exams of SEC & VAC course depend on the nature of those either they are theoretical or practical.

Night Life

The nighlife is also vibrant in & around the campus. The library remains open till 8 pm & also the gym. The hostel is only for the boys. The famous hangout place inside the college is ashoka lawn or sports complex & outside there is sudama tea stall or VC lawn.

Many companies come as ever since USME has been installed at the east campus the tie-ups with the brands happened before that. So we were etaught accordingly the war corporate wanted us and that is how this has been done with solid precision and thus our placements have never jolted.

There is a placement cell in Hansraj College which does provides placements of highest package around 25 lakh of last year and being median package around 7 lakhs, but this for selective courses like economics and BCom Honours and computer science Honours & few of mathematics honours while rest of the courses required to have different kind of skill sets can also go for placement depending up on the role that the companies bring to be hired for

DTU is Totally Worth Spending Time At!

Placement Experience:

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Tale of a First Year

Placement Experience:

The college Offers campus placements which are mostly in the private sector. Students are eligible for Campus Placements after Completing the 4th semester or we say on completion second year. Many companies are brought on board By the placement cell of the college. In this list also Mkinsey, EY, KPMG, Which are some of the prominent rulers of their industries. The median package offered to UG was 6 lakhs per annum, Top 9 students were offered a median salary of 9,00,000 per annum. Around 490 were placed From campus placements of the college out of 1300 students eligible For the placements, These are only approximate figures and not exact. The highest package offered from the college is around 14,00,000 per annum. Talking about my plans after getting the degree is going for highest studies, Either Masters in economics or MBA in business economics.

KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

My journey at Kirori Mal college

Placement Experience:

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus

MY COLLEGE LIFE

Main exam was CUET. We should crack it with high marks... More than 98 percentile to get into the prestigious north campus of Delhi University. My college KMC comes under north campus and I'm really happy. I chose this college because it is one of the best for my course. It ranked 3rd in whole india for political science. I wanted it admission process is easy. After cuet results are published u have to fill csas portal. And you can see your rank and college allotted in the first round. The. Document verification. I chose Kmc because of its faculty of history and it's alumnis.The faculty of history is one of the best in du, that's why I chose KMC. I also applied for colleges like Hindu College,and also at B.H.U ,but I got confirmed admission in Hindu College in Sanskrit honours course and I wanted to pursue history so I chose KMC, and I also got admission in B.H.U history,but the faculty of du and particularly KMC history is better ,so I chose KMC. KMC is quite well than hindu College and B.H.U in terms of its alumini and crowd . KMC is also better in sports and ncc than other colleges.
