Course Curriculum Overview
My course is History hons. I chose this field because I want to give government exams later on. The curriculum is divided into sub topics in first year we learn about ancient india, social formations in world and the History of USA. It thus provided depth knowledge of history and we get to know a lot of things. The content is a lot and we have to write a good number of pages in our exams which is of three hours.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of Kirori Mal College is affordable. The overall fees for B.A [Hons] is ?15816 for unreserved category. The scholarship are also provided to students. As well as fee structure is divided into different components such as tuition fee, caution fees.
Campus Life
The annual fest is Renaissance held by Kirori Mal College. The College has various clubs and societies for different skills. Famous Societies are Kartavya [for upsc] and the Round table. The library is huge and is peaceful with almost every book. The sports faculty is nice and enriched. While classes do lack modern materials its being developed fastly.
Admission
Above Kirori Mal College, I had St. Stephens, Hindu College, Hansraj College, Lady Shri Ram College I couldn't get into these colleges since i freezed my allocation and couldn't match the cutoff in first round. Other College i was getting admission was Ramjas, Venkateshwar, Gargi and etc I preferred this college cause its better reputation and nirf. The admission process is through CUET exam. The eligibility is by one language + three domains it can differ for courses
Faculty
The faculty is filled with well learned professors who have vast knowledge about the curriculum. There are 15 professors in History Department and are teaching different sub topics. The exams are mainly internals and externals. In internal exams the total marks is 70 which is done by test presentation assignment and attendance. While another is external in which we have theory paper of 90 marks for same subject.
Night Life
Being a day scholar, i can't really say much on night life but my favorite places in college would be canteen lawn, Ashoka Lawn and reading room. As well as the girls common room. In my free time i mostly sit in these places and do my work. Another than that Sudama Chai is higly famous and Tom Maggi
