Fees and Financial Aid

Zakir Husain Delhi College (University of Delhi) follows the fee structure prescribed by the University of Delhi, which is mostly uniform across DU colleges. The yearly fee for my course is approximately ?6,000–?8,000 per year for General category students. This includes tuition fees, admission fees, registration fees, university development fees, library fees, examination fees, and other compulsory charges. There is also a one-time caution deposit of around ?1,000, which is refundable after course completion. The total fee for the complete course comes to around ?18,000–?24,000, depending on the course duration (3 years) and minor yearly variations. The fees are largely stable and do not increase significantly every year, though slight revisions may occur as per DU guidelines. For students belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories, the fees are comparatively lower due to fee concessions provided by the university. Their annual fees are usually around ?2,000–?4,000 per year. Various scholarships and financial aid options are available, such as Delhi University Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC students, and National Scholarship Portal (NSP) scholarships, which provide financial assistance based on merit and family income.

Our placement cell Riddhi, doesnt just offers placements but also help us in providing various internships. A proper placement fest called incrementum is organised in our college to make sure maximum students benefit out of it. Last year companies like icici, hdfc bank, delloite and others provided direct campus placements to the students of our college. On an average Bcom hons students got a paycheck of 5-6 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year, the students become eligible to participate in placement. The placement cell is available in the college. But the number of placements is a little less as compared to other north campus colleges. Many companies have come for placement and internship. But many students prefer CA,CFA or other professional courses or MBA for higher studies. I plan to give CAT for MBA after my course gets over.
