Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum covers the basics of chemistry. It is a foundation for further studies with no real scope of employment for the bachelor 's degree in individuality. Masters and PhD courses are recommended for better and on par employment. Regular examination and assessment is done with less amount of unnecessary assignments. Practical curriculum can expand on industry par skills.
Internships Opportunities
Students may take internship opportunities independently. The college does not offer any internship opportunities for the ug students. University of Delhi offers Vice Chancellor Intership scheme for 2 sessions winter and summer with stipend.
Placement Experience
Students depending on the course get campus placement offers from semester 5. But for most courses further studies and competitive examination is the preference and available route. My course does not have placements offered.
Fees and Financial Aid
Annual fees averages around 36k per year excluding the examination fees. Fee concessions and relaxation is provided for students from economically weaker section. Students depending on the course get merit based monetary rewards and acknowledgement.
Campus Life
Annual fest manjari and departmental fests of every department take place every year. Departmental fests are of high importance as industry relevant and future prospects relevant speakers are invited for sessions. College offers a good gym and quality sports instructors for sports.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is only for the first year students. University hostels can be applied to for accommodation. College hostel costs about a lakh per year and includes meal and accomodation along with laundry. Locally plenty of pgs and dorms are available for students to rent which are much more affordable.
Admission
The sole reason for choosing this institution was the distance from my residence. The rest of the universities were out of Delhi and offered the same curriculum and about the same exposure and opportunities. Easily cleared the cutoff for this course and admission process was done quite easily.
Faculty
Faculty of Chemistry department is quite approachable and highly qualified. Faculty members are passionate about teaching and take class performance seriously with attention paid to every child and every aspect of their subject
Interview Experience
No. Admission was done solely on the basis of CSAS registration via University of Delhi portal and Cuet scores. Cuet ug exam taken by national testing agency is the only way to get admission in almost all courses. Tryouts for sports quota however do apply.
Night Life
Campus is close to Kamala Nagar and decked with cafes and recreational outlets. Library is functional till 6pm in the evening. Cafeteria serves affordable and decent quality food and packaged beverages.
