Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum at MAIMS is quite relevant and comprehensive. It is designed as per GGSIPU guidelines and covers core commerce subjects along with practical components like projects, presentation and case studies.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship opportunities at Maharaja Agrasen institute of management studies are average and mostly students driven. The college provides guidance and occasional opportunities through the placement cell mainly in accounts, finance, marketing, and administration. It is important to do an internship for 2 months after 2nd year completion. Mainly companies who provide internship opportunities were Deloitte, Bajaj finance, and many others

Placement Experience

4

The placement opportunities at MAIMS is average and mainly focused on entry- level roles. Some companies do visit the campus for placement and internships, but most opportunities are suitable for areas like accounting, sales, operations and administration.

Fees and Financial Aid

At Maharaja Agrasen institute of management studies, the yearly fee for Bcom hons is approximately 100000-135000. Total fees for complete 3 year course is around 3 lakhs. The fees is stable but may increase slightly as per GGSIPU norms. Scholarship are available as per government and university guidelines including merit based and category- based (ST/SC/OBC/EWS) scholarships, which students can apply through official portals.

Campus Life

5

my overall campus life experience at MAIMS has been positive but academically focused . College has a discipline environment with a friendly peer group, making it easy to interact and build connections. In term of social life and clubs, MAIMS have student societies and club related to academic, cultural activities, and skill development. While the number of events are limited compared to larger universities. Infrastructure is decent and well maintained with clean classrooms, library, labs, and a safe campus environment.

Admission

I chose maharaja Agrasen institute of management studies because of its strong academic focus, supportive faculty, disciplined environment, and GGSIPU affiliation. Compare to other colleges I applied to, MAIMS offer better facilities and academic consistency. I couldn't get into few other colleges mainly due to cut offs and limited seats. Admission process at MAIMS is transparent and merit based conducted through GGSIPU counselling, and the staff was helpful during documentation and enrolment

Faculty

5

The faculty at Mahraja Agrasen institute of management studies is experienced, supportive, and approachable. Teachers focus on concept clarity through interactive lectures, presentations, and practical assignments. The course structure follow ggsipu guidelines and is well balanced between theory and practical learning. The exam and marking scheme include internal assessment( test, assignment, presentation, attendance) and end term semester university exams, ensuring fair evaluation.

Interview Experience

5

No, I did not face any group discussion, interviews or written test for admission. Admission process is Merit based and conducted through GGSIPU counselling, where seats are alloted as per rank. I got 654 rank in CET. Got admission in MAIMS( 1st shift) in the third round of counselling.

Night Life

3

Nightlife around MAIMS is limited. The college itself has a strict and disciplined environment with no on-campus nightlife. The surrounding is mainly residential so there are no major clubs or late night hangout spot very close to the campus. However since the college is located in Delhi, students can explore cafes, malls, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was more my existing stream than the curriculum that made me choose this course. It doesn't give me a kickstart to my future career goals but it was the most secure and relevant one. There should be more real world exposure and teaching technique rather than the century old laid out theory practices. The frequecy of exams is somewhat suitable as per the subjects per semester.
