Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum for a person who prepares for civil services or other govt exams is suitable as a course comprising history and English makes a person socially and politically aware and also helps in his preparations. Teachers will help you if you want to learn and even if you don't want to study the exams assignment tests pressure will make you study

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunity offered by college is limited you will get to know about many internship from your college or course group. Companies with stipend are for commerce students mostly there are many government internships and ngo offering internship

Placement Experience

3

From 5th semester onwards people become eligible for placement. Important companies are Accenture delloite etc highest package may be around 10-12lpa and average around 4-5lpa the placement rates are not that high. Many students enroll for higher education.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first year I paid around 31k, in the second year it was approx 28k and in third year I paid 29k. My college charge 15k as development fee included in the total fee. Category wise fee varies I'm only aware of a kind of scheme for Jammu student in which they get their total fee refunded at the end of year. There are many scholarship which professor and admin office circulate on whatsapp groups, official mail I'd etc

Campus Life

4

We have annual fest named Manjari it's a good event and another major event is Miss DRC. Library is accessible till 6 pm. Classrooms infra differ some are well equipped while some need maintenance. We have societies and their events sports activities and ncc and nss as well. Their are many student run ngo as well

Admission

I was very sure to get into delhi university so the option of bhu I didn't considered when I got du but in du itself I wanted Hindu college but I got slightly less marks and I have taken admission into my college in the first round itself so I didn't got the chance for upgradation which might have been till 3rd round. I don't regret getting my college as the studies are good and exposure I get as being part of north campus

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is great most of the professors of humanities subjects are JNU graduates but most of them are young in age so they might be less experienced than other professors. There are many test assignment and presentations for the internal assessment which comprise 30 marks amd continuous assessment which comprise 40 marks and 90 marks for final semester exam.

Night Life

5

The campus life is vibrant. The woke north campus is a popular hang out place with areas around the campus like Kamla Nagar, Vijay Nagar and Hudson lane with pgs and cafe and shopping outlets gym street foods etc.

Placement Experience:

See in my course, students are not that much focused on placement! They are more focused on things like upsc, govt jobs, academics, professors, further MBA! So I do not know about the placement culture! But for someone who wants placement in GIS field there is a placement cell for geography department as well!

Placement Experience:

If seen, students become eligible for placement sitting in the third year but there are many types of internships in the post second year which you can do. The college has its own placement cell, you can join it and from there you can stay connected with the placements. There are many companies which visit the college. Job fairs are also organised in the college. Many companies, international and national, visit. Along with this, education fairs are also organised inside the college campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement is decent, not extraordinary. The average package is around 4.5-5 LPA, and the highest is around 21LPA. Students become eligible during their final year. The companies that have visited are EY, Wipro, DE Shaw & Co., Deloitte, etc. Decent number of students don't sit for placements or choose higher studies instead. As for me, I plan to do an MBA after graduation.
