DU Student Life

Course structure is ssomewhat still the old one but there are so many things like with introduction of tally, it gives us a real world exposure. In addition, now we also have SEC and VAC classes which are I feel essential for individuals personality develeopment.

The fee structure for my course is Rs. 18741 (excluding examination fee). I dont have idea about any scholarship available. The fees of my batchmates is also same, i am not aware if the fees for SC, ST, OBC or any other category is same or different

The overall campus life is pretty good. The annual fest of Deshbandhu College is Sabrang, it will be for first time that we would be part of it. The library of our college is one of my favorite places with wide range of books. It is also very quiet and calm place to study. I personally dont play sports in college but we have a huge archery ground and sports equipments like basketball, badminton and table tennis. There are many NGO's and student run societies in college.

I choose this college because of several reasons. Firstly I was getting my desired course in this college. Secondly, the college is just 15-30 mins away from my house and its easier for me to travel and i dont really have to move in pg. Thirdly, I checked the NIRF ranking and NACC grade of the college and it was pretty good. Apart from this college, I had applied to some private universities and to which I even got selected but this one was the best option out of all.

The number of faculty member is good enough. I remember once we had a Tally class and the teacher who usually takes was not available but instead of class getting canceled the other teacher came. The faculty is very patient and they are always approachable for advices and for clearing doubts. Right now, I like all the teachers who are teaching me and they teach in a way which clears all my concepts by giving so many examples for everything. Since we will be giving exams for first time so I have no idea about the level of difficulty of exam.

The surrounding of our college is very quiet and it has lot of greenary. We dont have hostel in the campus but there are several pgs available near to the college. Our college is in walking distance to the Kalkaji Main Market and we usually go to Mcd, Third Wave and Haldiram. Its very central to places like GK, Hauz Khas, Nehru Place and people who want to enjoy nightlife can go there.
