What Students Say

Likes

The quality of faculty is really good. The teaching methods are quiet flexibile with great expetise in their respective subjects.
The college has a decent infrastructure. The classrooms, labs and especially the library is pretty good.
The societies of the college function really well. The events and seminars organized by them are very effective for career development as well as personality development.

Dislikes

The Wi-fi services in the college are not very satisfying. The connection is often low.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is a comprehensive one. It includes all the major aspects required to build a real-world career. The subjects like accounting, business law and management principles and applications make it a relevant course.

Class Size: 99Course Fees: INR 18741 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For 1st year B.Com Hons. course in Deshbandhu college the annual fees is INR 18741 for year 2025-26. There are no additonal charges other than this from the college. There is no major difference in fees for difference categories.

Campus Life

The annual fest of Deshbandhu college is called Sabrang. It is organized mostly in the month of March. Deshbandhu college is known for its library all over the Delhi University. The range and accessibility of books and journals is huge. The social life here is quite fun with all the fests and societies.

Admission

I had applied for other college like the IP university and NMIMS. I had confirmed admissions from both of these. However, I opted for Deshbandhu college due to the exposure of Delhi University. The admission process for this college is regulated through the official CSAS portal Of Delhi University. The admission is based on CUET exam. Overall, the admission procedure was quite smooth.

Faculty

The college faculty is pretty good. The teaching methods are flexible. The faculty is approachable and always ready to help. We have 7 subjects in the 1st semester including 3 core subjects and one General Elective subject which gives us an opportunity to explore our interests apart from the core.

Night Life

I have not really experienced "night-life" in the campus as I am a day scholar. However the campus offers decent gym and cafeteria. The area around the college is also safe. The students stay in college till evenings hanging out in the cafeteria or the archery ground.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think my course is upto the mark and what i wanted to study it covers everything a commerce background student should study and also sec vac helps in learning something diffwrent too. So i think its really nice as it helps in overall development.

Life at Deshbandhu

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is amazing, bringing many internship and pre-placement offer opportunities to the students. The average package being between 5-7 LPA, and the highest package grossing over 20 LPA. Around 60-80% of the students get placements. If i don't get a placement, I'd presue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Last semester students are eligible for the Campus Placement. Many Companies come for Campus Placement like Taxman,etc The average package of college is around 400000 per annum Around 40% students got placed.

Glimpses of Deshbandhu college

Placement Experience:

From 5 semester students are eligible for college placements and my college placements on a scale of 10 is 6 . It's good compare to other colleges also name of the companies that visited in our college are DE SHAW &CO, EY, AMAZON and many more. Highest package offered last year was 23 LPA and average package is 7 LPA . 45% of students get placements from campus my plans after getting my degree is to give MBA exam

In short you should have 0 to 10 percent expectations from placement cell there is almost zero or close to 10 percent or less placement and internship opportunities. Yes companies come to our colleges but only for formality

Glimpses of Deshbandhu college

I choosed this college over other colleges because of its NIRF ranking and it's near to my home . My college compare to other colleges is really good and less strict as I have listened from other colleges also that they have more classes compare to my college. My marks were little less to get me admitted in North campus but nonetheless I love my college. I didn't applied to anywhere else other than delhi university I firstly got admission in dyal singh college but I didn't like their environment do I choose deshbandhu college and I am really happy with my choice. I applied to a few colleges and honestly Deshbandhu wasn't really my first choice and after I got my results I was quite skeptical about it but after I did some research and found out how it's ranked higher than most of the very famous colleges and my department was considered somewhat good in whole DU, I decided to give it a chance and I'm very happy with my decision, I found so many good people and teachers here, totally worth it not to mention it's very close to my home :)...Read More
