Course Curriculum Overview

4

There's no such specific aspect to be very honest, I was clear since my 12th standard only that I'll be doing BCom hons in my undergraduation. The core subjects provides you valuable knowledge for sure but there's nothing to learn from AEC, SEC and VAC subjects (they are useless). I think teachers should start focusing more and like in my 3rd semester, there are 2 teachers for each of my core subject, this should be eliminated because it creates confusion among students. Exams usually ends in 1 month and mostly my exams were in the morning shift which is 9:30-12:30 but it gets difficult during winters to reach to college on time and sometimes you have to wait too for 20-30 minutes outside for the gate to open.

Internships Opportunities

2

I have done 2 internships till now, I completed these two internship, other than this, I got an internship opportunity from the internship fair of my college at INGLU but the work environment there was very toxic and like that was a paid internship, I works for 1.5 month there but they didn't pay me anything

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 17191 rs for my first year of college of BCom Hons, during my second year, it increased to rs 18741. Other than this, the examination fee varies from subject to subject, fee for practical exam is comparatively high, I paid around rs 2000 as examination fee for my 3rd semester exams. Admission fee was very less and I'm not sure about the fees of my batchmates but for SC/ST, it is very less and there are some financial aids also which are available for students. Like recently, there was an opportunity for students to waive off their fees but it was for genuine students only who cannot pay the fees genuinely.

Campus Life

3

I am currently serving as PR Head in the ecell of my college and as Junior Coordinator in placement cell of my college. I have been a part of both the societies since my 1st year only and I was a part of the art society too in my 1st year but it felt overburdened so I left that. Our college library is very big and we can easily access books from there

Admission

I applied to Delhi university only and this college was my 14th preference, I was getting BCom in Gargi college but i always wanted to go to some co-ed college only so I chose this. I couldn't make it to the north campus due to less cuet score. Admission process of my college is not different, it goes on same for the whole Delhi university. Maths/Accountancy is compulsory to have in 12th standard for applying to BCom hons and all the commerce students have studied accountancy in their 12th standard. Overall admission experience was pretty good, it's just that due to late results of cuet, the whole process got late, but it was quiet convenient.

Faculty

4

Faculty of commerce department is very nice, they are cooperative, listen everything calmly, solve doubts on WhatsApp as well and it's very easy for us to approach them via WhatsApp as well. I personally like Deepak Verma sir and Arushi Malhotra Mam, they explain each and every concept in a very good manner and also talks very politely. As such, there's no faculty whom I didn't like but there was a ge economics teacher Mrs Savita whom I didn't like. During my 1st semester, there were 6 exams in total and during my second semester, there were 7 exams in total and now in my third semester, I have 5 exams in total. If I talk about the difficulty level, moderate rehta hai paper, do pyqs properly and you can crack the paper easily. As of now, any of my friend hasn't failed in any of the exams and course curriculum is fine but I don't know why Delhi university has brought up AEC, SEC and VAC subjects, there's no benefit of it at all.

Night Life

3

I'm a kind of student who always wants to go directly to home after winding up classes so I rarely stay after classes but there are many good places near my college. I am personally a fan of Burger King and like Kailash colony is very near to college and it has very aesthetic cafe so I mostly go there

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was preparing for CA also that's why I opted for Bcom, rest no other factors. But the curriculum of the college was best. They covered our whole syllabus on time. Everything was just perfect. There's semester system at my time. Every year we have 2 semester exams and you can clear the exam if you have studied everything your teacher taught. Examination level was moderate only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum itself is offered under delhi University is the biggest pro of this college I liked the aspect that it tries to capture the essence of holistic development by introducing skill enhancement courses, value addition courses and ability enhancement courses It also facilitates dynamic learning experience by offering the courses from different departments such as general electives I still believe that there is a space for improvement in the applicability of this course in the real world as the world is growing at a fast paced and we need to prepare ourselves with everything we can Intership opportunities, live projects of certain subjects , increased field trips and introduction of ai courses Frequency is good ,1 per semester which helps students to take on different ventures also and the difficulty level is mixed depending upon the subject but ranges from moderately easy to difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think there's too much unnecessary subjects given in the name of VAC and SEC and AEC becuae the options are completely irrelevant to the course. I'm a bcom student why will I study political science or hindi. If it's important to have these many subjects then give us subjects which are relevant to our course. There's mandatory EVS subject too and I think I have learned all that thing already in school so there's no need to study that.
