Our ex prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh has been an alumni of our college.
It is 7th ranked college of DU and has stayed in top 10 colleges of DU ever since.
A beautiful crowd and extra beautiful faculties and by beautiful I mean beautiful brains.

Dislikes

Some students are too needs and hardly engage in college activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course was chosen as there is nothing like knowing the world. Geography is because I want myself to be aware of all corners of the world. Our course is that deep and where can we find what. Which countries has what all resources and how those countries are controlled is all taught in our beautiful course.

Class Size: 53Course Fees: INR 17400 per year

Internships Opportunities

Mostly as I mentioned before too that mining companies and companies which operates globally for minerals and all are the ones which can give us intenrships. So, ONGC, Coal India and all which gives internships are the ones which gives us PPO as well.

Placement Experience

At KMC many companies comes for placements and our department students can best serve the metal and mining companies. So a lot of those companies like NTPC, Coal India and other offers us placements worth 5-6 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

KMC is one of the cheapest colleges of DU. The feest in the first year which I paid was 17000 and this year it's only 15000. Subject wise examination fees is paid and it is in the range of some 1000-1500 per semester.

Campus Life

Our campus is good and bigger than most North Campus colleges. Yes we don't have a hostel but buildings and all are amazing. Also, our annual fest Renaissance is attended by over 100 colleges and then we have few other events and Kasturba is one of those.

Admission

I wanted Hindu College as it is a little higher ranked college than ours. I just missed it as for the general category the cut-off at KMC is 758 and at the Hindu College it was 767. My score was 760 and so the choice left for me was KMC.

Faculty

Geography is very deep and vast and therefore all our faculties possess knowledge which is deep and vast. Exams of DU are always difficult and there's no scope of getting extra in internals as faculties are strict in giving marks there as well.

Night Life

For discussion and society meetings we have an Ashoka Lawn at our college so for chi chat and all, we do it all in our college. Every North Campus student has a fond or linking for Satyanoketan and that's the thing about it.

Many companies come as ever since USME has been installed at the east campus the tie-ups with the brands happened before that. So we were etaught accordingly the war corporate wanted us and that is how this has been done with solid precision and thus our placements have never jolted.

There is a placement cell in Hansraj College which does provides placements of highest package around 25 lakh of last year and being median package around 7 lakhs, but this for selective courses like economics and BCom Honours and computer science Honours & few of mathematics honours while rest of the courses required to have different kind of skill sets can also go for placement depending up on the role that the companies bring to be hired for

DTU is Totally Worth Spending Time At!

Placement Experience:

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Tale of a First Year

Placement Experience:

The college Offers campus placements which are mostly in the private sector. Students are eligible for Campus Placements after Completing the 4th semester or we say on completion second year. Many companies are brought on board By the placement cell of the college. In this list also Mkinsey, EY, KPMG, Which are some of the prominent rulers of their industries. The median package offered to UG was 6 lakhs per annum, Top 9 students were offered a median salary of 9,00,000 per annum. Around 490 were placed From campus placements of the college out of 1300 students eligible For the placements, These are only approximate figures and not exact. The highest package offered from the college is around 14,00,000 per annum. Talking about my plans after getting the degree is going for highest studies, Either Masters in economics or MBA in business economics.

KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

My journey at Kirori Mal college

Placement Experience:

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus

MY COLLEGE LIFE

Main exam was CUET. We should crack it with high marks... More than 98 percentile to get into the prestigious north campus of Delhi University. My college KMC comes under north campus and I'm really happy. I chose this college because it is one of the best for my course. It ranked 3rd in whole india for political science. I wanted it admission process is easy. After cuet results are published u have to fill csas portal. And you can see your rank and college allotted in the first round. The. Document verification. Afte that you will get gmail from the college and university. Cut off is almost 99 percentile in north campus. It's really difficult to get in. For humanities and commerce students choose DU. I chose Kmc because of its faculty of history and it's alumnis.The faculty of history is one of the best in du, that's why I chose KMC. I also applied for colleges like Hindu College,and also at B.H.U ,but I got confirmed admission in Hindu College in Sanskrit honours course and I wanted to pursue history so I chose KMC, and I also got admission in B.H.U history,but the faculty of du and particularly KMC history is better ,so I chose KMC. KMC is quite well than hindu College and B.H.U in terms of its alumini and crowd . KMC is also better in sports and ncc than other colleges.
