Likes

College Campus is very beautiful . Feels like holiday destination here. Some construction is left.
Social Interactions are average to decent
The faculty is good in 2nd and 3rd year. placement is poor though.

Dislikes

The field is not ready yet. Am the college team football player and sad the field is not ready
The fees is just too much. and it increases 10% every year
Girls to Boys ratio is poor. For like 360 guys in 1 year, barely 40-50 girls

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course cause it does not teach physics and chemistry in CSE course (no relevance) Curriculum is 70% relevant to real world applications 1 area of improvement could be providing training in college and providing industry level DSA

Class Size: 300Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure of our college: Academic Fees: 195000 rupees Hostel Fees: 60000 Rupees Mess Fees: 20000 Rupees Same fees for all the students in the college no scholarship or financial aids is provided from the college

Campus Life

There are annual functions: Ganpati Bappa festival, trishna (fest), sports events etc The library collection is poor though. Most books are based on what is taught in our college Our college has over 200 i9 computers for lab and will also target GPU in the coming years for research. There are lot of clubs for dancing, singing, acting, sports, painting, etc

Hostel Facilities

Every room has 2 bunk beds (4 people). and 4 almirahs (big ones, lowkey W), and 4 desks and 3 ethernet spaces. The only con is the spacing is a littles less for 4 students. The registration process etc is very easy. NO issues whatsoever. No PG is needed. Perfect destination.. Feels like a holiday

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

Most importantly, the college admission comes off JEE scores. This was the best i could get through my JEE courses. I was never rejected from any other college though. The admission here occurs through Josaa

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is probably 1:8 The relationship is good between students and faculty The best faculties include Dr. Sanjeev Kr Sharma, Dr.Jatin Majithia. NO such "unlikeable" faculties two exams - Mid sem and end sem --> they r medium to average

Night Life

Gym does not exist yet but will be built soon. Same with cafeterias. Howeever the hostel is nice once and one will enjoy staying here (better than other hostels). One can always go out hostel by checing out and night outs with permission. The locality is safe cause there is no other people much. Mostly in the outskirts

Honest Review on VIT, Pune

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 4th year onwards and intership + PPO offers from 3rd year itself. The highest package offered was 38.5 LPA by the company GoDaddy, following by Nvidia with 30LPA. Every year 75-80% of the students get placed, including both on and off campus leaving the rest 20% opt for higher studies. Im currently unplaced and the college is still helping me out. After getting the degree I have decied to do job for 2-3 years and then opt for masters degree overseas.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually i have decided to only go for computer science but as my entrance exam score was not that much good. So i decided to go for ai&ds branch as it have much scope than cse. Ai&ds syllabus is very much similar to cse branch so not that much difference. Some practical practice need to be improved in place of learning theory.

This College was on my top priority as It is in the city Pune . The Emerging IT city in India . As the Name is IIIT it also attracts me . At the time of Counselling i have filled Branches in ECE of NIT and CS of IIIT . Initially i was alloted IIIT Bhopal but inn the 5th round IIIT Pune was alloted . My Parent was happy as Pune is Nice city. My College Infrastructure is Good but not as expected. If we compare my College to Private than it is far Good and all the facilites are nice. Yeah we can say that we are new but we can say that we are not less than New NIts. For Entrance in IIIT Pune You need to qualify the JEE Main Exam with Good Percentile. My experience of iiit pune

I also applied to cse at IIIT jabalpur and allahbad, and chemical engineering at nit Warangal but I couldn't get a seat there. I was also getting ece in iiit jabalpur and cse in spit mumbai but I decided to take iiit pune cse over it.
