Likes
- The things i like in my college is the cafeteria. We have all kinds of food, icepops, beverages. But its a bit expensive. The second thing i like about the college is we have quiet alot auditoriums, which are big and air conditioned.
- The overall infrastructure is pretty good. We hav clean washrooms. And as it is a only girls college the comfort level is really high.
- We have lift in our college that's used a lot. The library is big and all the resources are available. There are a lot of labs in the college.
Dislikes
- The one thing wich is annoying is the electricity. There are electricity cuts pretty frequent.
- The classrooms in 4th floor are not well equipped. The fans and lights are not working. Even the fourth floor infrastructure is not good, but construction is happening so i'm hoping it gets better.
- I did not like the overall commerce faculty. There are some teachers who go genuinely off topic while teaching.
Course Curriculum Overview
If i take about the three compulsory subject of B.com hons- Financial accounts, business law and management principle, the curriculum is pretty relvant. The chapters will definitely help in real world application. The fact that we have tutorial classes which is doubt solving classes is again very helpful. Though not all the curriculums in sec and vac is not relevant. For eg. Aurveda and nutrition. As a commerce student i believe we need to have morw options that are related to our Subjects or our field. Like probably finance literacy, HR, PR etc.
Placement Experience
The placement and intershipncell of mata sundari college for women, plays a very crucial role as it gives various opportunities to student. It organizes and extends services towards collaborative activities. The annual package provided is from 2LPA to 7.1LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for for B.com hons student is approximately 27000 for two semesters. However there is no detail regarding the fee structure. Until now there has been no development fee, lab fees or any compulsory charges. But there are certain society, in wich you need to to pay a certain registration amount.
Campus Life
We have alot of societies which give various networking opportunities. Then we have three kinds of dance societies which widen the opportunities. Our college promotes traditional dance and classical dances. We hav various workshops. there are specific rooms alloted to every society. So the infrastructure is vast and good.
Admission
So i first scored 647/1000 in CUET exam. In Du colleges the cutoff for B.com hons for general category goes really high. Mata sundari overall is a good college. It is located in a very safe place. The fact that i do classical dance also, mata sundari as a college gives me various Competition opportunities. I first got zakhir hussain but if i have to compare over all mata sundari is much better infrastructure wise, the location and the opportunities.
Faculty
The faculty for commerce is mostly women teacher's. As mentioned previously there some teacher's who go off topic while teaching. B.com hons has 3 compulsory subjects- Financial accounts, business law and management principal. In all these the end semester exam is of 90 mark. 80 marks is internal assessments. Which is again bifurcated in 40-40. In one 40 marks includes tests, assessments and attendance. Other 40 is continuous assessment. Then we have vac, sac, aec. In this you have to choose your subjects out of the available options. In these the end semester exam is of 30 marks. Rest 80 marks is internal assessment. The last is general elective. This is also a subject you need to choose on your own. If you study the same GE for seven semester, it becomes your minor degree. And most importantly Ge end semester exam is of 90 marks and 80 marks internal assessment.
Night Life
The location of our campus is very safe and clan. We have alot of companies surrounding our college. There is a science museum and various schools located in the nearby radius. There are alot of restraunts present.
