GURUKUL KANGRI VSIHWAVIDYALAYA

This college curriculum and extra attention towards the student makes me choose this college. Also it is the only one govt. college in uttarakhand which gets attention by the C.M of uttarakhand. Their curriculum is very good and real- world application are also solved to clesr all the typical real life challanges. I think there should be a improvement in the campus building and field area . Our college is not so spread in a big area. The timing of exam is of 3 hours and exams are not so difficult but checkings are very strict even though some students bring their phone with them . Difficulty level of the paper is average because we just have to go through the pyq and notes.

From 5th semester students get eligible for campus placement. Most of the companies like infosys, mahindra, panasonic, ibm , credly etc. comes in our campus and offered from their side is nearly 50000 for internship then bas on the work they will give placement in the company. Highest packages - 15 lakh per year lowest packages - 3 lakh per year avg. packages - 6 lakh per year One of our senior who was in the third gets offered from color code company of about 50k as an internship. Students get placed based on their talent and skill but most of the students start the preparation of the gate exam . Since student in this college get enough time so they prepare for other competitive exams like gate and upsc.

total fees taken by the college is 800000 rupees in 4 years breakdown of fees taken by college tution fees - sem1 - 68000 and for sem 2 - 58000 library fees - 42000 registration fees - 1000 development fees - 5000 caution fees - 8000 lab fees 20000 all categories students have to full payment of the college fees . fees are same for all students in my college just there is a relaxation in the hostel fees only . For sc- st students they give waiver of 5000 ruppes otherwise they don't give any kind of waiver on any thing. Amounts is only taken by the college they only take money they dont give money to anyone they invest their money on theirself only . fees is taken by them anyhow .

Fest in our college held once in a year in the month of december. The fest name is JNAGANI . In this fest Technical and non- technical devices are shown by the students to the professor. Also quiz competition and other games like carrom , chess , push up , cricket , football , basketball , volley ball and race like robo race and other technical devices. Those who make best device get a chance to win cash prizes . Cultural program dance and singing are also organise by the students and participants get medals and certificate. Books and journals are there in the library with all the availability and accessible facilities. Classrooms are also lasses with all the basic necessities like projectors, digital board in CS classroom and a big seminar hall for meetings and programs . Sports and extracurricular activities helps in the physical growth which is vey necesary for all. So our college have a separate club for sports and seniors help us to get enrolled in the club . Also our sports teacher teaches us the yoga and sports rule . We have our own website like cricbuzz for premiere league . Student run club is also there like microsoft club , google development student club i.e. GDSC CLUB , Microsoft learn student ambassador club i.e. MLSA CLUB , E- cell is also there for placement purposes .

They give their bed , study table , fan , almirah, wi- fi access , water cooler in the room. Meal facility i good but only for 2 to 3 months but after that they don't give good and healthy foods . hostel facility is good but meal quality is not so good in the hostel . Menu of the food is like Roti , bread , chawal , daal, sabji, chhole bhature , poha , daliya etc. registration facilities for hostel is easy, during the time of admission visit the hostel and book your room by giving money to the hostel warden after giving payment and filling out the form they will allot you the room . locality nearby the hostel is jagjeetpur , sitapur , jamalpur , singhdwar where you can find a rented room or PG .

I have applied for more than 10 college but i got this college in the csab round becuse of my low percentile but i think this is one of the best college i got because in this college course curriculum is not so difficult but if i would have a nit then it would be great. In the last when i don't get any college in jossa counselling then i got this college in csab round so i chose this college. Yes i get rejection from other college but i think every thing is decided already so don't go for any other college and just got this college GURUKUL KANGRI VISHWAVIDYALAYA. Admission is taken by the college by the JEE Mains and it also takes its own ranking exam in which they give rank to the students based on their marks and then they take their admission based on thier marks and then they allot their seat for the departments based on their marks .

Faculty to student ratio is good as there is more than 50 teachers are there in our college . They all help us in giving the bestest knowledge about the core subject. They all are approachable as they help even after the class. Mayank Aggrawal Sir , the HOD of my college is one of my favourite professor of this college becuase his contribution to the college is unforgettable.He always try to make and build his college no. 1 college in haridwar. For that he always try to call big-big companies to our campus such that we can get a recognition from the govt. Since our college is a gfti college so we are so lucky because the govt. of uttarakhand also taken care of our college. The best thing about this college is that here students get full support from professor side in any kind of project. There is none of the faculty i don't like but sometime i get bored of the lecture but i like the way they teach us. There are total three exams happen in a year 1st sessional , 2nd sessional and the semesters exam in which we have our two semester i.e. sem1 and sem 2 and the practical exam is also there in a year. They take two practicals i.e. internal and external practical exam . Internal exam is taken by the college and external exam is taken by the other college means that questions are being made by the other college and their professors comes in our college to take the exam. If the student get fails to clear the exam then they have to give 1500 rupees to the college for back clearance. Exams are not so difficult becuase they usually ask questions from the PYQs and the NOTES only . Regular college going students can clear this exam very easily. Its just a piece of cake for them. But those who don't go regular and work on any project. They shoulhourughly go through the Pyq and class notes then only they can pass. By the way no one gets failed all students get easily passed in our college exam.Course curriculum is very relevant as it includes all the day to day life challenges.

GD topic was basically decided by our communication teacher . He always gives a unique topic related to our country freedom and other govt. policy like Gst and all . One of his favourite topic was where there is a will there is a way and other was success doesn't come over night . Prashant kaushik sir the utra legend communication class teacher help us in cracking interview by just giving a task to make a video on self introduction. These round i used to prepare but i always hesitate to speak in front of students but he helps me in improving my communication skill i thank him alot.

Gym facilities is there in the park and stadium i.e. Dayanand Stadium of our college .Cafeterias are there in our college campus where we chill and eat a food at only 50 rupees . Timings for gym , cafeterias and library are same as they all are there in the campus. Open gym always remain open for all at every time . Cafeterias open at 6:00 AM and closes at 11:00 PM library open at 10:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM Hostel timing :- before 10:00 PM you have to enter in the hostel otherwise you will not allow to enter in the hostel. campus timing :- 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Famous hangout place is there in our main campus because there is too much greeneries in our main campus so we move at night in the main campus after having meal . Facilities like hostel nighout also is given by the hostel committee once in a year but they take some charges from all the students .
