The library of the college is what I like the most.

Dislikes

Language barrier. The professors use Assamese most of the time so it gets very frustrating sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers should condier the students who do not understand Assamese and try to use it as less as possible during the class for the convenience of the student who do not understand the language at all. The frequency and timing of the exam is quite good and I would like it to be the way it is.

Class Size: 47Course Fees: INR 9500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Approx fee is per year is under 9k excluding the exam fees,the field trip fees etc. For first sem it was around 7.5k and for the second it was only 1k something. The exam and practical fees varies according to the course.

Campus Life

There are many events happening in the college and I do not attend most of it as I am an introvert. I know very less details about all these activities. The college does include many extracurricular activities though.

Admission

The admission process is quite easy. The selection is based on your percentage. The exams accepted are SEBA board, CBSE, CUET etc. Selection for hostel is also done according to the percentage of the student.

Faculty

Honestly, the faculty is quite bad. They open the counter late, it takes way too long to get through the admission process and registration for exam too. As for exam, there is one sessional before the semester exam, then the semester exam and at the last the practical.

Night Life

Since I do not stay in hostel I do not have much idea about it. But there's only one canteen and a Nescafé stall in the campus. The gate closing time of the college is probably 6 pm and there's only a girls hostel in campus

As per current trending situation I choose statistics as my department. Our department give us a Microsoft excel course as sec course. In teaching I need the notes should be provided in form of pdf to every student. The timing of exam is good I want to say it's excellent.

True aspects on a University

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed the course as I actually liked it coz I have studied it in class 11 and 12 and want to study more in the field of data analytics. But here we didn't get much exposure to real world applications as we just ended our first sem but expect to get more in future . We also want immediate internships such that we can work on our skills so far as possible. We get less time to study for the exams as the course is vast but exams reach near but if studied in a daily basis routine, one can cop-up with it

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed the course because I dont have so much money to study for btech and all and also I didn't prepare for jee or neet so, the next thing come is mind is bsc that is in botany or zoology as I liked bio more than any other subjects. Yaa by reading botany I can know many things about plant and trees. The improvement that they can do is release a book according to the syllabus by the university and also add few more new teachers such that student can be friendly with them and ask their doubt . For me I think exam timing should be done... Like one before durga puja and one around December . And the difficulty level should be easy .

My opinions on PRAGJYOTISH COLLEGE

I was preparing for competitive exams like JEE and CUET , but they didn't work out and most of the colleges like Cotton , B Borah and all dosent provide BSc in computer science. I didn't got a rejectection , but the seat was completely filled by the time i got there. The process for getting admission is : After class 12 results, you have to apply in a website called Samarth , to apply in all over Assam colleges. You can apply in how many you like . In some colleges you can take addmission through JEE scores , or by CEE And by CUET also . The cutoffs aren't much high for this college, 60-70% will get you addmission in Pragjyotish college.
