Radha Govinda Baruah College was founded to honor the great Xingha Purusa Radha Govinda Baruah who is known as “The Architect of Modern Assam”. Also he contributed a lot to newspaper industry, sports organization, and cultural activities. The college was founded in 1978 with an aim to educate the backward class students of Kalapahar area.

The college offers various courses in the field of both Arts and Commerce. The college is affiliated to Gauhati University for Degree classes and Assam State Higher Secondary Council for Higher Secondary courses. The college is well placed at southern part of Guwahati city at Fatasil-Ambari on the A.K. Deb Road, which connects Bharalumukh with the National Highway 37 bypass at Garchuk, also the college is just 4 km. from the Guwahati Railway Station. The college was provincialised by the Govt. of Assam in 2006.

I applied to rg Baruah college, arya vidyapeeth college, Pragjyotish College, cotton university, handique girls college and b boruah college and Dispur college because these college are nearby me and i got selected first in RG Baruah College and I got rejected from B Boruah and Cotton University

Likes

College in itself is filled with greenery , trees , grass and a huge field .
College programs, rallies , functions , fest and many other celebrations are engaged by students on a hug scale.

Admission:

During CUET 2023 , I applied for many colleges such as Delhi University , EFLU (English and Foreign Language University), JNU and many more for the higher studies of German language in a degree in that field. But it happened to in my luck , I was not able to achieve that level of hardship and success. Due to which I was attracted towards this college as a friend of mine also studies here.

Likes

The college campus is big enough to sit and spend time

Dislikes

There is shortage of drinking water and hygenic in college premises
There is limited amount of books available in the library

The main reason i choose this college is because this college have good communication and connectivity with the city and college is also good for students from other states as it don't have any racial discrimination

They don't take entrance exam they take admission on based of merit list .the application are available at college website and we can take admission with merit list and then many improvement can be made.

The playground is not quite developed for students to play

The eligibility of the course I've choosen is 10+2 with atleast 40% . Applications are to be made through online process. The fees of the application form is around 200-300 rupees. The exams are held every 4months time period and the difficulty level is mediocre for even below average students. The improvements that are required is the portal's lag issues and also correction issues of data

A good college

Admission:

I got into the college during the Covid time so since then, no entrance has been organized. The admission process is also hassle-free as online service is available. This college is affiliated with Gauhati University so the admission fee is 5000+ per Year(1st+2nd sem).

The college does not provide any internship to the student

Admission:

The teacher is very friendly with the student so if you have any doubt you can go to the teacher directly for help. But the bad aspect is that is the college does not have any club. The college infrastructure is good at fewer fees and the placement rate is also good so you can go for it.
