Course Curriculum Overview
The ciriculum is pretty new and is updated pretty often, but as maths is a mostly theoretical subject you can never gain much practical experience. even still the teachers try their best to prepare you for thew real world.one invroment that i can think of would be to delete some of the subject from the ciriculum and replace them with something more relevant to today. example- AI,etc.
Internships Opportunities
There are a multitude of companies that hire students from the campus of ARSD college Examples of these companies include - Wipro, Bajaj, ICIC Bank, etc. The average stipend offered to students applying for internship are usually anywhere between 7000 to 20,000 with a few exceptions.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well the fee structure is pretty simple , you pay around approximately 18000-19000 per year for the course i selected. The amount varies from course to course but the structure is pretty much the same. You pay the yearly fees at the start of the college year which is around july-august. There is no extra addmission fees or snything similar but there is a very small examination fees approx. 1500-2500 depending on you subject this exam fess is paid per semester, so about twice a year. There are a lot of scolarships available although most of them are either for girls or are given to minorities.
Campus Life
The campus life of the college is very rich with vibrant cultural diversity as students come from all parts of the country, The college runs student societies in various fields such as debating, photography, sports, Theater, etc. Multiple fests are held each year for the students to enjoy, these fests are typically held in the monts of January,March and November. The college library has approximately 110000 books and journals on matters of common intrests and different subjects taught in the college.
Admission
I chose this college specifically mailny because of its NIRF ranking of 4 which is higly impressive. The college also has a very big campus and is considered one of the best the country has to offer. Not to mention the prestige that comes with being able to study in a college affiliated directly with the university of delhi. The addmission process to the college is quite simple, just like any other Du college, ARSD also takes student on the basis of Cuet marks. You have to apply on the official websute of Delhi University and if your CUEt score is good enough you will be accepted. An improtant thing to note is that minorities do get to enjoy the benifit of having a lower cut off to get admitted.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is pretty good very close to 1:20, and majority of the students have a good realtionship with the faculty. The faculties that i like the most are Mr. Ashutosh who is my linear algebra professor and ms. Shikha gupta jain who was my probability teacher last sem and also Mr. Rajesh who is an office member and helps students with their problems. There are only one major exam per sem but there are also Test that are taken twice per sem ( Best of two marks are awarded) by the teachers that contribute to the internal exams.
Night Life
The night life of the coollege is close to non-existing as the college does not provide hostel facilities. although the cafiteria and a nescafe shop within the college campus are pretty good spots to hangout with freinds after or inbetween classes.
Other Applied Colleges
Deshbandhu College | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
I personally opted for ARSD instead of Deshbandhu because its better both generally and also considering the subject i opted for.
