Remarks
There are many positives about the college. First of all being it is a Delhi University college which itself is a big thing. It has brand name which is recognised everywhere. The facility of the college is great and the extracurricular and sports facilities provided are great.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum for all the honours course is really good. All sorts of subjects are covered including various electives provided by the university. We are also taught 4 specialisation depending upon you to choose. The exam structure is a semester based. 6 semesters 2 in each year.
Placement Experience
Placements are same as in every other college in Delhi University. There is a placement cell run by the students. Various journalist firms come for placement every year. Internships are not provided by the college but the faculty helps you in getting one.
College Events
Various events are celebrated in the college all around the year. There is a college fest organised in march every year in which some celebrity is invited. Apart from that all the departments have there own cultural fest. Various societies are setup in the college which have there own cultural fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees is very nominal as in every other Delhi university college. My course fees varied between 5k to 8k over 3 years. Same is for all courses. Fees is very feasible. Apart from fees at the time of admissions you need to pay the admission fees which is merely 5 rupees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship are provided to the students who have there parents in government jobs. All the fees is returned to the students but this is only for SC/ST students or all students, I’m not aware of that.
Campus Life
There are various societies set up in college like musical, dancing, sports, debate etc. Labs are also great and have all kinds of facilities available. In sports department volleyball cricket and football have their courts and grounds.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumnus network is very very strong as there are students who are constantly in touch with the college to help out junior students via various sources. Seniors are great. No ragging kind of activities are there.
Admission
The merit list of all DU colleges is released. After checking the cutoffs you need to go to the college with all the required documents necessary for admission. A evaluation is done of the documents and you are given the admission if you clear the cutoff. A payment link is available within 24 hours.
Faculty
Faculty is very helpful in all manners. They do guide you for various internship programs and various other competitions. With matters relating to studies they are quite helpful. Apart for that the faculty also helps in whatever way they can with the extracurricular activities.
