Course Curriculum Overview

The diverse and well structured curriculum covering indian, global and thematic histories which motivated me to choose this course. It builds strong analytical and research skills, helpful in academia and civil services. Inclusion of internships and placements. Exams held twice a year during extreme weather conditions (may-june and December-January).

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 25380 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

1st & 2nd year fees - 24,460/ yr 3rd year - 25380 Fees is same for all categories and department provides fee concessions to EWS students after the verification. There's no scholarship provided by college.

Campus Life

Confluence the annual fest of hansraj college it happens in the month of april. There are various events of different societies and clubs their timing are tentative depending mainly on the approval of the Principal.

Admission

One needs to appear in Cuet-ug to make it into the college, the test is conducted by national testing agency. On the basis of cutoffs one gets the admission in the college according to their cuet scores.

Faculty

Currently there are 17 faculty members in history department, 5 of them are well experienced and few have been teaching since 2022 and there are some new recruitments. Relationships of students and faculty is professional and understanding. All the professors are okay. We are supposed to give end sems per semester, 8 papers in 1st & 2nd year and 6 papers in 3 year per semester.

Night Life

The locatility is safe to roam around in the night and there is kamla nagar which is the hub of shopping and cafes for college students. Various chain stores and cafes and restaurants. (Dominos, la pinos, howdy, ricos, mcdonalds, burger club, and kfc many more)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Very good curriculum- focus on practical approach rather than theories. The relevancy is great for sure. As a students of economics majors I am greatly satisfied with the curriculum here. People with other subjects like Political Science and History are also often offered educational trips

I found English hons to be a subject which can make me confident and fluent for the real world. Improvements could be done in management since it sometime lacks . the frequency and timing is fine the exams are of 3 hours which is enough for it .

Just an Honest Review of SRCC, DU, Hostel, Delhi...

Placement Experience:

The placements of Shri Ram College of Commerce are one the highest in Delhi Univerisity. For the session 2023-23, the highest package was 35 lpa, average package was 10.15 lpa, median package was 8 lpa and the gross placement value was 51.6 crore. There were more than 100 recruiters from more than 15 sectors, including McKinsey & Co., BCG, Bain & Co., Kearny, Accenture, Delloite, JP Morgan & Co., etc. with more than 500 offers. The Placement Cell also launched an initiative of assissting people with special abilities to secure placements and interships. As of now, I have not settled to what I am going to do after graduation.
