Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is somewhat Outdated which is from the university's side. There are some subjects which are not at all relevant in today's world and studying them will provide no necessary knowledge as most of them are outdated. The basic things that has to be changed or upgraded are in the optional subjects. The subjects provided in optional subjects are of 10% importance in terms of getting a good position in the real world. The frequency of exam is 1 in a semester

Internships Opportunities

4

The major companies that provide the internship programms available are TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Mahindra & Mahindra and many more. The availibility of the internship is not fixed though. There may be some distinctions in the availibilites. The stipend usually starts from 12,500 Rs to 25000 Rs per month which is sufficient in most of the cases.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for the degree in B. Tech in Electrical Engineering was 3,57,000 INR. Of which 57000 was to be paid at he time of admission and then 41250 for the 2nd sem and there was an increase of 1000 Rs every year. Also noticed that there has been a 10% increase in fees for new admissions every year.

Campus Life

4

There are various fests that take place in the college during an academic year. It has been seen that there's a major modernization program being run by the management where the classes will be held digitally. There are sporting events held twice a year organized by the seniors with a support from the management side. There are various social groups run by the senior most students who help their juniors if one has a problem that can be solved without bringing in the management, while some are responsible for cleanliness drive, organizing Pujas and other events like the Blood Donations camps.

Admission

The main reason behind choosing the college over other colleges is it's electrical department's history. The electrical department has received many awards, certificates for the projects development. There was a time when the college had 120 students in the electrical department. Making it one of the highest in the state. These things pulled my attention and also pulled me in take an admission in the institute. Also the department has won multiple awards at both the state and national level. The admission process is overall simple, there are a number of faculties who are always willing to help students, their parents and advise them the best course for their child/children.

Faculty

5

The ratio of faculty-to-student is appreciable, to be precise if any one has a doubt, or he/she needs any kind of help, there will always be one faculty member free for any subject or for any random help. The faculties from my department that I appreciate the most are the HoD (Mr. Sumanta Das), Suindra Sir, Rashmiprava Ma'am, Raju Sir, Surajita Ma'am from core field as all the above mentioned faculties never deny in terms of providing any kind of help be it with the syllabus point of view or any other projects, report, or studies one is currently working at. Talking about the exam pattern conduct by the university, we have to appear in 4 Continuous Assesment exams then we have semester exam and then at last the Practicals. The level of the exam is usually intermediate to difficult. Many students fail to clear the exams but with minimum margin.

Night Life

4

The campus has a good size ground where the students along with the teachers play different sports after the class like cricket, volleyball and sometimes football, also the size of the ground is big enough to provide enough space where volleyball and cricket can be played simultaneously. However, i'm more into badminton and Volleyball therefore the different games are played on alternate days therefore every one can have equal opportunity. Beside the college ground, the campus also provide a shaded area with a cafe beside it where students can sit, discuss and spend the spare time with friends. The area where the college is situated has a gym nearby, many cafeterias which provides an easy access to those places after the college hours. Some of the students who are passionate at reading spend their free hours in the college library as the library has a ton of books which are not just related to the academy but they also provides us novels and other books which one can read.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Regarding examination the frequency is generally acceptable but the timing sometimes overlaps with project submission, creating unnecessary pressure. Exam duration is of 3hrs They should focus more on building projects which can be helpful for students Labs are modern and well equipped In terms of teaching methods a shift towards interactive learning, problem based assignments, hackathons and collaborative projects could make the learning experience more impactful. More emphasis on research and innovation at the undergraduate level could also encourage academic pursuits.
