Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course was good until or unless we get to know that after three years of graduation we got only plain ba degree (not honours) and we have to stay for the fourth year to get honours degree One thing I want to mention is that the sec and vac courses in the curriculum is waste of time They are not taught in the way that we will get any value addition and skills enhancement ( students just attend the class for attendance and ca marks) On the other students fails to focus more on their core subjects studies

Internships Opportunities

5

There are course specific.college specific as well as society specific internship opportunities the thing is that you need to manage your time for studies and internships The government also provide internship to college students such as the vice chancellor internship and summer internship

Placement Experience

3

Currently I am in second year so I don't have much knowledge about its placement. But there is placement cell in our college which works upon it and arranges many seminars and shark tank like investment also the college along with government and alumnae arranges many investment competition Mostly students in our college are preparing for upsc and other competition exams that's why they do not focus more on placements. Those who left joins many societies or prepare for further studies

Fees and Financial Aid

My first year fees was 17410Rs then in second year I payed 16310 only along with that we need to pay 1400 rs per semester as examination fees. There is no such charges division provided by college everything is included in college fees itself. There is no reservation on fees and each and everyone has to pay equal amount of fees The college itself provides many scholarships opportunities such as merit scholarship and alumnae scholarship ( mostly covers college fees) On the other hand there are many government funded scholarship such as nsp worth 12k ( science students have many scholarships options then arts students) and other scholarship funded by private entities ( approx 60k) for private funded scholarship we are required to give interview and test. But the only condition is that you can opt for only one scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Miranda House is the beautifullest college among all the college it's infrastructure as well as the greenery serve its beauty Especially the library the aesthetic one.One things that fascinates the most is the walls decorated by many societies. The basketball court and tennis court all the sports complex ( science department looks more beautiful than arts department) The dancing students both western dance society and classical dance society and the ncc cadets all gives Miranda House the aesthetic location

Admission

Miranda House geography honours was my first preference offcourse because it is women's college as well as it was nirf rank one college that time Exam eligibility is you are required to clear cuet exam with descent score and you will get the du college according to your marks( as well as hostel). And I will suggest getting a college hostel because they are cheaper than the pgs outside. Cotoffs changes yearly and differs course to course and college to college

Faculty

4

The faculty students ratio is great infact sometimes we are taught the same subject by different teachers . The faculty are assigned according to their expertise in the field. Miranda House teachers I guess are more sweet and approachable then others colleges teachers. There are 3 core exam one ge exam and 3 others which includes AEC( language and EVs alternatively each semester) sec (you can choose practical or theory or both and you are required to give exam of the latter two' s) and vac ( exam criteria is again same as sec)

Night Life

4

The hostel students have curfew issues But those who lives in pgs outside have no such problems ( but the rent is approximate to the engeneering course fees) There are many cafes (also pubs) and street stalls outside the college and as there also lives working families so all the basic necessities things are available

Other Applied Colleges

Lady Shri Ram College for Women - [LSR] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Political Science)

Because Miranda house was my first preference

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.

Campus placements are available for all semesters but the offers are more the students in third year. The offers came form many reputed companies like Deloitte, EY, NSDC and more. The highest packages offered were 24 LPA. Almost 75 to 80 percent students got the campus placement. I did not sit for the placement as I was beginning my preparation for UPSC.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For psychology everything is good, the course the topics everything is very real world applications based. However there is less scope for it in india but in abroad one can do well. I really like learning about mental disorders, they open a new world to me and a better understanding of the people with disabilities. For Areas of improvement all i can suggest is giving lesser readings, since there is a lot of readings to cover it becomes a headache for some students. Also there shoulf be more practical based subjects rather thsn just theory ones.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very active. They hold internships round the year and provide reliable placement at the end of last year. Placement mainly depends upon per student skill rather than the course variability and considering most of the humanities courses are less employable if taken only on the basis of course. However skills are the main deciding factor
