Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Curriculum provided by the university is well defined and can be used more effectively as we compare with other universities. The only change that I would advise is that the last semester should be focusing on our skill development rather than theory. So the first three semester can be focused on mainly theory and little amount of lab. By doing so we can enhance the rate of job availablity and will have greater knowledge and skills on laboratory handling and other charecters

Internships Opportunities

4

There are no internship with stipend all the provide is the one month internship program which we have to get with our own efforts. But they offer better 4 month project time which is compulsory for the academics and is very much helpful for the development of our skills

Fees and Financial Aid

If we were to consider the fee structure of microbiology, we should know that most of the college provide self financing courses hence mostly this microbiology course contains fee structure mostly by semester. Some rare colleges provide this course in government scheme. At first there is a quotient deposit of 3000 rs along with the first semester fees. So if we were to discuss the fee structure for graduation the fee structure would be around 19,500 rs per semester which would give up to 39,000 rs per year. There are no other laboratory or any other extra fee structure like laboratory fee. There are a total of 6 semester in the program and after this completion we will get around 2000 rs of quotient deposit back. When we consider our Post graduation program,we have a total of 4 semester to which the fee structure would be around 42,000 rs per semester. And all the other structures are same as mentioned above. There are no other laboratory or any other hidden charge.

Campus Life

4

Well if we were to discuss about the festivals there are common festivals like onam, christmas, arts, College day and so on. But there is a special celebration conducted by the department of English that is Meusus which is a grand and festive for English as well as everyone in the college. They also provide exhibitions for science departments . We have all access to library which consist of variety of books and research materials needed. Apart from that each department has their own Libarary that focus on their course and is easily accessible. We also contain IT lab which provide us with all the data access.

Admission

The exposure provided here are better compared to other colleges. They have better facilities in the program and college so it is suitable for the development of our skills and for a better future. So overall it was a better choice for me

Faculty

4

The faculties present here are well informed and have great knowledge on theory and laboratory skills. They can provide better opportunity for us and they also encourage us to involve in all activities ourselves. And create room for our development by providing skill development seminars, classes and courses

Night Life

1

Well if we were to consider the night life here it will be a big zero as there is no night life here. You won't be allowed to enter the college normally. But when there is some programs there is some exceptions

The course provides three specializations - clinical , industrial and educational. As it is applied psychology it equipes us to become more practical.I wish the placement cell to be more efficient in our university. Because the placements they offers are limited

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
