Course Curriculum Overview

5

Practical Applications like practical session, intership or industrial collaboration that gives hands on experience influence me to choose this course (biotechnology). Core subjects like genetics , molecular biology, genetic engineering, microbiology etc.. and connection with field like bioinformatics, bioprocessing etc .. prepare me for further academic pursuits. For practical session teaching method requires improvement. The frequency and timing of exam is a difficult level .

Internships Opportunities

4

My college provides various intership opportunities . Many biotech companies and research institutes collaboration with our college to offer hands-on training for students. We can apply through college portal or directly via faculty recommendation .

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees - 42000 , Caution fees - 3000 , Admission fees -45000 development fees and lab fees and other compulsory charges are included in semester fees . Fees of my batchmates also 42000 in each semester.

Campus Life

4

To describe my overall experience with college is campus aspects like it's easy to make friends,a general vibe on campus friendly, competitive and collaborative, and also the cultural events, fests that made memorable I'm not part of any club or organisation. And the infrastructure and facilities provided with well equipped classrooms , labs libraries . Hostel and food court also provide better facilities and also provide campus wifi .

Hostel Facilities

4

I stay in College hostel near my college . I share a room with other students .The hostel provide wifi and study room and common area .Meals are included in the fee and security is available 24/7. Visitors are also allowed in visitors room . My monthly rent is 4500 including food and utensils.

Admission

First of all.. the academic and reputation , when I compare my college with other colleges ,should have better faculty, research opportunities, industrial connections. Campus and facilities, have better labs , research centre compared to other colleges. Then location and environment also a big factor to chose this college .

Faculty

4

Hmmmm...I am in my last year semester. I have very different facilities in terms of personality. Most of my faculties teaches fantastically and are really cool and easy going . The semester is about 4 semester are there and each semester has sem exams ,most of them are clear there exam few students are fail because the subject is little bit tough .

Night Life

4

I don't have any night life experience in my campus but have experience in hostel life , the cultural events in hostel conducted at night and it's a best night life experience. Favorite spot is obviously cafeteria. Cafeteria and library close at 4pm . Campus timings is from 9.30am to 3.30pm .

I choosed to study msc applied psychology in kerala university. Because it offers my interested specialization ( organizational behaviour) . The course provides three specializations - clinical , industrial and educational. As it is applied psychology it equipes us to become more practical.I wish the placement cell to be more efficient in our university. Because the placements they offers are limited

This course have more oppurtunities in the present time as the data is increasing day by day and we are dealing with data. So we have more oppurtinities than any others. We have a special post in every fields. Course is doing only theory build up and less in concentrating the practical application side of the theory we have studied.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
