Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to do computer programming and the curriculum included the subjects which would help me to do it.So that made choose my course. The curriculum gives good knowledge from basics to extreme to understand the whole picture behind that technology which is very helpful. After learning them and doing lab activites on them , we will have a pretty good idea on how to implement them in real-life, for example creating web applications, new technologies under machine learning etc. Improvements maybe needed at the inital semesters , to help the students know about all the technologies available so that the student can select his/her personal interest and go in that direction. The frequency and timing of exams are very managable , the exams happen according to the time table most of the time , and there are only 2 , mid-sem and end-sem ,, the difficulty is moderate , not that stressful or tough.

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies like VISA, Arcesium, ZS Associates, Optum, Tekion, DBOI, provided internships for students with an average stipend of 60000/-. Some companies dont provide internships , its direct FTE (Full Time Employement) and companies which provide internships might give some conditions like performance based offer, which means if your performance is good in internship , then they will convert it to full time. Most of the companies convert to all students so yeah dont need to worry. Projects worked in companies cannot be disclosed but worked on technologies which we learned like web, like frontend , backend, DSA ,etc. Different companies may require different technologies.

Placement Experience

5

Placements this year in our college went pretty well. With the highest package beeing 58lakhs in DE SHAW company and 54 lakhs in Google, and soo many high packages. People got into companies like google, amazon, optum, arcesium, texas instruments ,DBOI , Global Hitachi, ZS Associates, Piramal Finance, UKG, Hugoslave Atlas, Tekion, Pinelabs, VISA, SIXT, and so many more companies. Good percentage of people got placed ,like the people who wanted to go for placements were able to get it, people who wanted to do higher studies are preparing for it, some want to go abroad, some wrote GATE and they want to do Mtech, percentage of students getting placed in cse branch would be 85%, in IT department it maybe higher, and in other branches also they got placed so overall very good. Plans after getting a degree from a well known and top tier institute like this would be really good for resume and if they want to do any other jobs then i feel like it will be helpful.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise admission fee that i paid was 8k per sem at the max, (SC category),, so per year 16k is the maximum amount of money anyone who falls under "below 5 lakh per annum income", SC,ST ,will be paying. Scholarships are accepted, although i am not eligible for it , my friends were able to implement them in college. For hostel everyone will be paying 57k per year. Registration fee was there at the start at josaa councelling as far as i remember , which was given back to us once the registration is completed, there are no separate fee, everything is included in admission fee ,, like lab fee, development fee,, all these are included in the admission fee itself. For general people the admission fee is around 1,20,000 per year. I dont know the scholarships names.

Campus Life

5

The overall campus life is pretty nice, we have grounds to play cricket, volleyball courts are available , basketball court is also available, gym is also available , a new sports complex is also built, can play indoor games in it. Fests happened recently , conducted by avartan, eclectika clubs and organizations, they are typically held at jan and feb, mostly feb. Library is big and lot of books are available in it , i dont usually go there , only if i want any books regarding specific subject, because some books are not available for free in google, for those i visit the library. Also newspaper is available in hostel everyday , anyone can read it.Ac's are there in classrooms. If a group of students show interest in a specific goal which they want to achieve or happen in campus , then they can talk about it to the hod and create a club or organization and also get funded it make it happen.

Hostel Facilities

5

The facilities provided in hostel room for boys , first of all the room is big , enough for 3 people, 3 people stay in every room, in some hostels there are different rooms where 2 people stay, i stay in a 3people room, there is a balcony , and 2 fans in each room ,there are no restrictions for electrical appliances like water heater , kettle , electrical stove or anything , you can bring anything. If we dont like hostel food me and my friends cook something on the electrical stove and eat. Meal quality in mess is pretty decent , they provide rice , roti, dal, everyday. Sabji(curry) varies everyday, sometimes they keep extra sweet, we get eggs on wednesday and chicken on friday, veg get paneer. Also for people who didnt get hostel , dont worry there are hostls nearby , location in kota, and amanaka where most of the college students who didnt get hostels stay. There is no special registration for hostel , just pay the fees in online and submit some passport size photographs , and your details like home address , father mobile number , mother number, your number, and yeah its done.

Admission

I mainly chose the college over the other colleges because i since the start i wanted to study computer science , so i thought computer science anywhere would be fine. I put options like ECE at nit warangal , ECE at kurukshtrea, MECH at NIT calicut,, CSE at nit patna, i put all these options but i put nit rapiur cse at number 1 , so around third round i got this option so no need for further councelling , i took this option. The admission process happened pretty smooth , they communicated with me using the email i gave during the details submission in josaa , so yeah the communication was pretty good, they sent time table ,important notices etc. They also will send you fee structure, if you have any doubts you can always contact the college with the helpline number provided in the college's official website. Like i said i applied for NIT warangal ECE ,NIT calicut MECH , NIT Kurukshetra ECE, NIT Patna CSE, but i put NIT Raipur CSE at number 1 which i wanted as my number one priority so i got it. Rejection means basically i didnt wanted the other colleges i applied under the 1st choice, so i put the order in such a way that that i will be happy with the colleges i get which are on top ,also the jossa counncelling happens like that only , it considers the colleges you kept at top as the first priority , so basically the priority goes from top to bottom. The admission process is pretty simple, get all the required documents first like the caste certificate (if you have any) , get the 10th and 12th certificates, get migration certifiate (apply for one , you will need it if your college is in other state) and some documents need to be filled and given like undertaking for ragging. Mostly those and income certificate if your income if below 5 lakhs. All students who are able to secure a rank of 14k in JEE mains should be able to make it to college in CSE branch , the cutoof might have gone up or down , CSE , IT , ECE are mostly preferred by students in this college.

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is like 50:1 maybe ,its not bad. Faculty student relationship is very nice, like i mentioned the faculty is very helpful both online and offline , clearing doubts through whatsapp. We approach them like even for minor doubts not only regarding subject wise but also outside activites like fests , projects , hostels , etc. I like nagwani sir , he thought us the java language in 3rd semester, out of all professors , he was the the best for me as he teaches very well and interacts wit students in a way that the students like to interact back and also keeps up with the modern technologies. I cant say the names of faculties i dislike it wouldnt be nice, but maybe because at the inital semesters , we didnt get good profeesors and they kind of didnt do well so yeah didnt like it. The mid sem and end sem exams are pretty managable so that we can focus on doing projects or attending hackathons and grabbing internships , doing fests ,planning outside activites , if the subject is like really tuff then maybe 10 students might fail at the max, most of them clear the subject in the supplementary exams , maybe 1 or 2 at max dont , so they clear next year. Course is very relevant , sometimes they might add new technologies to the semester subjects which are introduced in market , like we got blockchain technology, machine learning , deep learning etc.

Night Life

5

Hangout spots would be the central garden just infront of the campus and left garden and the campus also has long roads, so we can walk and chill. Late night activites in hostel would be playing online games, also forgot to say they conduct tournaments on games like bgmi, valorant etc. Also going out and playing box cricket or just walking inside the campus. Curfew for boys hostel in 1st year would be 8:30pm and for girls it is 8:00pm, and for boys in 2,3,4th years , curfew is 10:30pm and for girls it is 10:00pm , pretty decent. There is a path infront of the central garden and towards parking where lot of people come to relax or just walk.Just outside of campus on either side of road there are a lot of street foods, where you can get soo many different types of street foods, like both sides of road 2 km long. It is safe around campus and inside campus it is very safe but we need to be careful dont forget it , inside the campus there are a lot of security guards like soo many, so yeah.

Placement Experience:

We can do internships after 1st year and 2nd but for the placement it's in 4th year. The training and placement cell of the college has work consistently to bring reputated companies like a TCS Wipro Infosys LNT Infotech etc. the medium package for uses students is like 4 lakh per annum and PG students was about 4 to 5 lakh per annum. However when compared with some of the top tile institutions the package levels and placement percentage highlight the student themselves me to bridge through internship of campus drive and additional certifications. Another noticeable trend is that placements 10 to be more favourable for the branches like computer science and information technology where are School branches of an face lower absorption rates which is common in many engineering colleges. But here off campus placement are really good

Placement Experience:

Placement scenario is so good as per the stats . Like students are eligible for placements from there 7th sem . No. Of companies visited is around 200 (guess). Offers made 600(guess) . Highest package is 65 lpa , and average package is 9 lpa there are major two roles one is core engineering get role and other is non core data analyst role . 86 % students are placed last year . My plan is to get good placements from college itself and then after experience I will go for MBA or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

Internship for the third and final year students, but not paid mostly. Placements are very few, don't expect placement from any government college in Chhattisgarh. Work on your skill. Companies like Adani came for placement for Mtech mining students. Highest package is of 3.5 lpa, He works in Bangalore. Other students do master. I am working in my skills and I will try for off campus placement or I will go abroad for master or job.

Remarks:

The college was established in 2009 and is therefore still growing. The staff and facilities are working very hard to create exceptions and achievements. As the college is comparatively new from others. Therefore, more hard work can be seen in the part of faculties. This gives students studying now a great advantage to learn and gain more.
