What Students Say
Likes
- I would like to appreciate the faculty members at the college. The faculty members are highly educated and help the students to learn and improve skills.
- Here the students are co-operative. If one in need, then the other person would help that person. The behavior is gentle.
- The seniors are helpful. They themself ask to come to them and gather knowledge and learn problem solving skills from them.
Dislikes
- The campus has limited hostels for boys and girls. So the students have to live outside the campus to live in the PG rooms or private hostels.
- The building is quite old and has not been modified since long time. One main building is there where different blocks are interconnected.
- The closing time of the hostel gate is early by 10 PM. So many students cannot walk in the night outside the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
In my curriculum Information Technology, we have to study Cloud computing, Advanced Machine Learning, Advanced Data Structure and Analysis, Distributed System, Blockchain Technology, Computer Networking, Data Science, Bioinformatics and many more subjects are taught. I choose this course as because it is aligned with my interest and matches my Bachelor of Technology field. By learning Cloud Computing, Advanced Data Structure Analysis, Advanced Machine Learning, Blockchain Technolgy; we get ready for industry job. In this course we learn how to solve real-world problems and solutions to them. For improvement in the curriculum, I would suggest not to involve more theory rather than go for more practical learning. The exams happens after every 3 months in a year. Generally the end-semester happens at December and May. The exam is moderate level.

Admission
I applied for NIT raipur because thids college comes under national institute of importance by Government of India. This is very good institution in India. I got confirmed admission from IIT Bhubneswar for PhD, but I did not join there. I choose NIT Raipur other than IIT Bhubneswar as because it is old and it is providing me Master of Technology degree, rather than PhD. Yes, I got rejection from IIT Bombay, wehere I applied. I was not able to make it there because I could not score well in my GATE examination, which is required to get admission there. For admission in my college for pursuing the Master of Technology degree, you need to appear for the GATE examination. After you qualify the GATE exam, then on the basis of your rank in the examination you will get seat in IIT/NIT/other college for admission through CCMT counseling. My overall admission experience was good.
Faculty
For 26 students are 6 facult members in my batch. The relationship between the faculty and students are good. The faculty members help the students to understand the subjects in deep knowledge and make them ready for industry job. The faculty members provide research works to students. I like Suresh Verma sir, who the professor of Cloud Computing. His knowledge is good and he imparts deep dive in the subject. I don not like Darmesh sir, as because he use to read the presentation and teach less about the topics that are there in the subject. There are two examinations in each semester. In a single semester, 1 mid-semester examination of 30 marks and 1 end-semester examination of 100 marks. And in between practical examinations are also taken. The exams are not so tough, if you are able to attend the class regularly, then you will score in the examination.
Night Life
There is one gym inside the campus where the students can exercise. The closing time of gym is around 7 PM everyday. There are two cafeteria present in the campus along with one AMUL parlour, where students have food. The library is open for all the students to come and study all day. There are 4 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls in the campus. The hostels have good rooms and better facilities are provided to students inside the hostel. The gate closing time of hostel is around 10 PM everyday. There is one locality named as Saraswati Nagar, where the students roam and feel pleasure. The locality around the college is completely safe to roam at night. The outsiders are loving and gentle persons.
