Course Curriculum Overview

5

English Hons is a subject which I feel is the need for many. This is the reason we are also one of the most crowded branch of our college. Course is such finely designed that there ain't any changes required to me because I am not comparing it to international level university but level is definitely at par with them.

Placement Experience

5

For English Hons receptionist jobs are the main roles that were offered. From tourism to various other streams the companies always comes in large numbers and also hired students in large numbers. Almost 75% students in the last three years have been placed from our college. My plans is to do masters from abroad after finishing my graduation which will be done this year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hansraj is a top draw or let's say one of the finest colleges of DU. B.A is also a subject which is favoured by students to study at Hansraj. Hansraj fees for the same is 22500 and I feel it can't be cheaper than this.

Campus Life

5

Hansraj is known for natural beauty as we have many students activity rooms and centres. From media society to dance societies, we have it all. Our annual fest is held off campus and all DU students are invited and it kicks off with performance of our students. Sports fest as well is held in society and many club level cricketers have been produced by Hansraj College.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels are in campus and a deadline of 10 pm has to be followed. A yearly 45k fees has to be paid for the room which is shared by two students. Washrooms are common as that's the only drawback i would say. Mess is also fine and food served is little Delhi like but eatable.

Admission

As I said, Hansraj is among the top DU college so cut-offs are obviously very high. For our course the 12th standard minimum percentage required was 90 and a minimum CUET score of 750. For reserved and special categories obviously it differed but for General category the mentioned criteria was mandatory.

Faculty

5

At Hansraj students good in other activities are always favourite of their teachers. They are also exempted from attendance if they are giving the same time in contributing in college societies or college activities. So, this support from them helps in learning a lot more things which are mostly learned during college phase.

Night Life

5

Obviously it's a campus area and Vishwavidyalaya is the nearest commuting metro station. From fruit sellers to pani puri hawkers, everything is there in our area. Ofcourse fact cafes like Dominos and Pizzeria is also right there as most students are pizza lovers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
