Likes

The internship çell Vyara is so good that even the first year students can apply for internships and the will get it.
College gives students utmost chances to explore their other interests too.
Faculties and students interaction is such that students will never feel that they are talking to the professors.

Dislikes

Some students spread negativity about the college and hence I want those students to be expelled.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always wanted to pursue BA as Sociology, Psychology, Economics and other subjects are such that students don't generally like studying but I was certain that I want to study then all. Even literature and all are a part of our curriculum and hence I believe that DU has indeed specialized in BA.

Class Size: 58Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Lenskart, Snapdeal, Zepto and others are the ones that have us an opportunity to learn, how startups works and how they enjoy the process of making their products market fit. So, rather than established entities, it's mostly the startups that gives us internships opportunities.

Placement Experience

Placements of our college doesn't lack anything as students mostly opt for further studies but I have no issues saying that placements are also available if not in numbers. Let's be fair as jobs in current scenario are that many in comparison to the number of students that graduates every year. Still, Miranda House has done well to make sure that over 60-65% students get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Miranda House which is one of the oldest colleges of DU has ensured that they will keep a fees less than other DU Colleges. Hence, the fees is just 15k a year for BA. Well, as many would know the scholarships program even in such a petty fees are so many that studenta can even slim their fees a great deal by availing them.

Campus Life

Tempest is our annual fest and our 15 acres huge campus is more than adequate to host that fest. There's a huge cafeteria and one of the best cafe in Palm Cafe. We have lots and lots of sports facilities and most importantly the culture that promotes sports. So, I see no reason in mentioning that our college is quite rich not just in infrastructure but in maintaining an environment which gives every student a push in whatever they want to pursue in life.

Admission

One has to apply through DU portal for CUET. In the exam centres, students have to sit as per their roll calls and then a final cut-off of the entrance gives us a clear picture where we could get admissions. So, Hindu College was my first choice but never mind Miranda House is no less either. So, overall experience regarding admission was good as DU admissions follows a procedure which is not complex at all.

Faculty

Faculties of such stature are hard to imagine. Whenever faculties of our college go and gives lecture at DU, students of all the colleges stand up and gives standing ovation. This is rare as a faculty of college other then theirs get such warm welcome. Now talking about exams, I would say DU exams are generally tough and still nearly 90% of students from our college pass in one go.

Night Life

Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station is a cakewalk from our campus. Autos on the days we have to rush to the campus or otherwise wapk is still good. Patel Chest and Subhash Tea Stall are probably the students best hangout spots in college's vicinity.

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement but if we doing 4 years of college so 8 semester. Name of the companies visited. Zomato Amazon Uber Ibm There are around 70000 students who are eligible for the placement Asiants paints The highest and average package offered to the students is 35 LPA for highest and 3-4 LPA average. The percentage of a student must be above 80 percent if they want a average job but if a person want a job in great company they should have percentage around 90 to 95. My plans after getting the degree to become a lecturer. placements, especially for students in popular courses like commerce, economics, and science. The college often invites various companies for campus recruitment, and many students have secured jobs in reputable firms. the extent of placements can vary each year based on market conditions, the courses offered, and the students' performance. If campus placements are limited or not offered, students can still focus on enhancing their employability. Best time of my life

First and primary reqson for chosing Miranda House was the hostility and arrangements that the college provided for the parents and students who were coming there. I did applied to various other colleges but the kind of assistance that i received from the taechers, students and admin was really appreciable. It really convinced me and my parents to get admission there after visiting other colleges as well from the north campus of Delhi University. Eligibily was my marks from class 12th since I applied from the merit based admission process. Till that time there was no UG entrance exam for our colleges. Cutoffs were really high. I almost lost hope that I'll be able to study in DU and that too Miranda I had no hope.But I waited till the 3rd and 4th cutoff, fortunately i found an opportunity and grabbed it. Doomsday: Miranda House Philosophy Course Overview

My first choice was Philosophy Miranda for DU. I applied to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Uni for their English ug course, got selected, didnt take the course because of more interest in philosophy, always regret this decision. In cuet this year i gave my second attempt, and also i was enrolled in a college of kolkata, their i experienced toxic environment in terms of student teacher relationship, so i gave cuet for 2nd time, there i applied for only two university.
