Likes

The infrastructe in upes is actually decent.
The faculty are phd holders and are fairly experienced
The campus location is really beautiful.

Dislikes

The fees is actually really high 25 lakhs if u are opting for hostels
Many students get backlogs throughout their course.
The campus is located 10 km away from city.

Course Curriculum Overview

My cousin actually completed his btech from the same college and he got placed in tcs which is why i also considered taking admission in this college.the frequency of exams are mid sem and end sem with a 2 month gap

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for btech cse in university of petroleum and energy studies dehradun uttrakhand is 1800000 for 4 years and almost 2 lakh for every sem. You can get 20% scholarship for female candidate and 33% scholarship for uttrakhand resident

Campus Life

There are 2 fest of our college held every year and festivals like holi diwali dusshera are all celebrated in the college. The technological provision is actually quite decent. Sports fest is all organized every year

Admission

I got admission in srm, vit and chandigarh university but i choose upes for its locality and its placement record. Upes takes admission through their exam UPESEAT which is a scholarship test. Mostly students get admission easy here.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:100 approximately i guess. Shaurabh shanu sir is very good at its teaching and avita katal mam has good knowledge of cloud computing. The passing percentage of exams in 60-70%.

Night Life

There are several gyms in the nearby area and taking about the cafe there are everywhere in corner. Hostel timing for night is 7 pm for both boys and girls. The is maggi point near the cliff of the mountain which is actually quite famous.

Placement Experience:

Over 90 lakh has been given to a student of GEU and that didn't just made the headlines but also made GEU among the niche universities. Around 70% students of the university have placements as placement cell keep sending what's app forward of the interviews. One has to though enroll himself/herself there to be eligible for the same.

"Overall, a satisfying college experience"

Placement Experience:

In our college students become elegible for placement after 5th and 6th sem . Preplacement drive such as aptitude test , coding session, group discussion may start from 4th sem . I'm not sure wether i take placement from my college or by myself but my goal after completing my degree is to take a repotative job as software engineer.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

Placement Experience:

Placements are good as you all know its IIT. The avg package of all branches is still around 20 LPA . For CS its around 35-40 LPA. And for all other branches its greater than 15 LPA. Im a first year student so i have not seated in placement but there are so many companies that visit iit roorkee for placements, like google,microsoft, ibm, oracle, etc Highest package secured by a student this year is 1.5 crore. Nearly 95 percent of students get placed every year for sure. My plans after degree is to get placed and do my job.

Is it one of the best private college ?

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good here many companies comes at campus every year each year the number of companies increases and the highest package is about 32LPA and students are allowed from 7 semester to enroll in campus placement program 100% placement is assured if u are scoring more than 7.5 CGPA and having no backlogs at all my plans are to get degree and try to get the campus placement if possible

Placement Experience:

Iit roorkee provide better Placement opportunities than any other college. It has it's placement and intership cell . Gold man Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, graviton and quantbox are the big recruiters which visit my college. Placement are good with average package of 1800000 per annum. If someone don't get on campus then cell helps in getting off campus placement. Enormous amd strong alumini network helps in getting off campus placement.

A big no for placements and a big yes for campus life

Entrance test for the programme is conduted based on the criteria that is above 60% admissions are provided. The professors of the university also conducts interviews before admissions in zoom. After all the process once the student clears the exam and interview admission is provided. I was enrolled in the university in the year 2018 as would say that I definetely wasted my 3 precious years and money offcourse. There were no placements also, just for small matters they send you from one person to other and for some university matters you will have to go other campus just for some signatures....Read More
