NIT Agartala has been a second home to me

Well the only negative this is that it is located at a remote area. But that is ok because we have our own village here. Our classmates, seniors and juniors have all made this institute is a one big family.

The course curriculum I went through is civil engineering. Though I wanted it to be my choice, I found it quite extraordinary to see through myself how this course is helping the world change its course to better. And I want to be a part of it.

The college does a great job providing numerous internships. We have dedicated training and placement cell to concurr such opportunities to help us provide with it. The basic stipend is about 5000/month and it's an exciting experience

The placement cell works hard to produce excellent students who are prepared for freshers job and the placement percentage is quite good. Ultimately it depends on us to achieve that goal and get placed in various companies.

Our college celebrates every festival's and it has also it's own celebrations. We have our college festival called Aayam. It is of four days. And everyday of that festival is a joy. Cultural differences aside. This may be the best thing that happened to us at the college.

The fees structure is as per the UGC regulations and everyone of us is equal to pay the same amount. However there is a relaxation according to UGC rules for financially backward people with upto 80% waiver of semester fees.

Scholarship facilities here are as per the central government's plans and there are pretty good numbers of scholarship facilities here. Student loan facility is also available here with SBI and Canara bank branch at the college.

We have a international sports complex which the only one in north east and of of the few among other NITs. The sports curriculum here is excellent producing good numbers of sportsperson every year. Everyone of us is engaged in sports for fun or for excelling at it.

The hostel infrastructure is pretty good around here. The surrounding environment and the friends beside us provide a feel like home to us. The facility here quite excellent from food delivery to care.

NIT Agartala has one of the biggest alumni student organization not in the country but other countries also. Our seniors always help us with doubts and opportunities for ourselves to grow and help ourselves to achieve our goals.

The exam structure is of two exam one called the mid term and other the end term. The mid term is of 50 marks.and the latter is of 100 marks. Also we have internal exams , class tests and viva also. You can't be left without understanding each and every subject.

I went through JEE Mains and got reasonable score. And then through JOSSA, after submitting my choices, I went through counciling process. I ended up having the branch I wanted to be in. There are numerous rounds of counciling. I scored on the 1st round itself.

The faculty members here are extremely understanding and helpful. Though some of them are rough on the edge. Other professors are pretty good at teaching us the newest things everyday. And we hear them eagerly.
