Course Curriculum Overview

3

Let's be honest. I have to choose the couse as my neet result was not enough to get a government college. College would not prepare you for the placement or any real world application . You have to do it by yourself. Teachers should try to focus more on practical rather than than theory part. Semester almost ends in 4-5 months. In first two month you have to prepare for the mid term and in the last two months for the end term.

Internships Opportunities

5

For CSE branch available interships are there like microsoft google etc. ONGC, NIC is also present mostly for the homestate students. Projects are important for placements. Almost in all of the internships people have to make atleast one project.

Placement Experience

5

Students can apply for campsuing from the 7th semester. As of now (december 2024) this year we got Google, oracle, HP, Visa, Tekion, phonepe and many other companies . Highest package was 48LPA and average will be like 10. Almost 50% student got placed till date and companies are constantly visiting campus. My plans: I might go for higher education through GATE exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are moderate to high. If you have any caste certificate like SC , ST or income is below 1 lakh per year then you don't have to pay the tution fee which is like 125000 per year. So if you belong to any of these category you have to provide around 16000 per year to the college(excluding hostel) else it will be 125000 + 16000. There are many scholarships like ishan uday(which can be applied if you are not a repeater + there is mark requirement of like 70-75% in board exams + income less than 4 lakh ) which gives almost 80000 per year. If yoiu are from homestate then you can apply for post madhyamik scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Main two fests of NITA are Moksha(cultural) and Aayam(technical). Moksha generally helds in october and Aayam in april. Library of NITA has vast amount of books and journals. Books from 20-30 years ago are also present in the library. Classrooms are just like any other college. Each of the room have projecter and some of the faculty brings their own speaker. NITA has its sports week. Students can also participate in inter NIT sports. So many Clubs are present in NITA like sports, drama, music, dance, robotics etc. A total of 20-25 clubs are present.

Admission

I have applied for NIT silchar and some other NITs . NIT agartala was selected as my parents wanted me to join any homestate college. NIT agartala was my first preferrence and i got this in first round. Admission Process: You have to apply for councelling through JOSAA protal after qualifying JEE mains exam and based on your score they will allocate the seat. There will be 6 rounds of josaa councelling and after that there will be CSAB 2 rounds. There is a requrement of almost 75% in 12th and 10th.

Faculty

4

There are adequate teachers for 150 students(each year) in our branch. Ratio of teacher and student is like 1:7. HOD and some other young faculty members are my personal favourite. But some of the old faculty members behave like they are the boss. So if you are joining the college becareful from such teachers if you are joining the college. We have mid and end term exam each semester and the number of subjects differ in each semester. Generally CSE faculty members don't give back to students if you submit the assignments and have moderate attendance except 1 or 2 teachers.

Night Life

4

Gym is present in sports complex. Cafeterias or canteens are present near all of the branches and if you don't like the canteens there is shopping complex where you will get many restraunts and shops. For boys there is no particular timing for entering hostel and campus. For girls the hostel last time is around 7 PM. Famous hangout places inside campus are knowledge park and coconut park. TSR park is also present which is full of greeneries and is a good place to visit with friends. There is no such hangout place outside near the campus. People have to go to city or some parks which are like 10-20 kms away. The campus is fully safe as guards are present in the campus gates 24x7.

From Gaya Steel, to JK Tyres and companies involved in production were the ones who gave us placements. On and average production engineers at our college were paid around 4-5 lakhs a year. The lowest of all but still in top corporate houses as no start-ups are into production. This established names where the one who gave us placements.

Placments at NIT Agartala are strong, with students becoming eligible for campus recruitment from 7th semester. Top compines include Google,TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, L&T, Nvidia,Samsung,BEL and public sector units(PSUs). The highest package goes upto 50 LPA in software roles, while the average package ranges from 8-12 LPA for core and tech roles. Around 80-85% students secure placements, with higher percentage in CSE,ECE and core branches.
